the game is 60 minutes long. both teams have plenty of chances.

Lack of sustained presure has hurt the Russians all tournament. One on one they can compete with and beat anybody, but they have had serious puck control issues.

I would consider this a coaching issue, unless the players are just not committed to forechecking.

Yakupov might be leading the team in points, but 4 isn't a lot when you're Russian. It would be different if Yakupov was Latvian.

This tourney has been the most underwhelming performance by a 1st overall pick I can ever think of. How embarrassing. Still time left, lets see if he can get something done.

The really interesting part will be watching the Russian media rip the team apart.

I feel bad for these kids.One crappy game+ 1 exceptional game from the other team and it can cause years of therapy.
