Great stick in the passing lane on that horrible turn over by the Swiss.

Yeah he seems like a selfish player to me, but the weird thing is he has 3 assists so far and if I remember correctly had quite a few assists last year. It just seems like he's had a few chances to pass to open teammates but instead takes a weak angle or awkward shot.

I think he'll do real well with RNH in Edmonton though.

Thank you my friend.

it is true that in each tournament we have beaten at least 1 team of the so called "top7". And everybody still calls upsets when we beat a "top team".

The power of anglo saxon conventional wisdom is beyond reasonable.

You want your shooters and finishers to have some bit of a selfish streak, but to run in 1 on 3 along the wing? Who are you, Evander Kane?

How good would the Swiss be with some grade A talent? They are always so well coached.

Grigorenko is incredibly snakebitten but he creates a ton of chances. If not for his 29 goals in 30 games this season one could believe he has no finish

The Swiss don't have that one bonafide talent as they usually do, but they seem like a much more well rounded team this year.

Agreed. This is junior hockey, his game in the NHL will change quite a bit.. and if it doesn't, the grown men he plays with won't tolerate it.

I do have to say though, I have not seen one good game from him yet. It seems like he doesn't want to contribute, and would rather skate up ice and hope someone can send him a stretch pass... yet it never works. That may just be a "Russian" thing though, as I seem to remember them running that play over the past few years. I guess people have caught on!

Any game involving the Russians is more entertaining than any game they are NOT involved in.

I would rather watch Russian play anyone then watch another 2-1 US/Canada game with its cycling, neutral zone play, etc., (2010 final not withstanding). Even a Russian 2-1 game never feels like it because of all the odd man rushes both ways.

I know the US/Canadian way is the 'way to play' it is just soooo sleep inducing, I just love run and gun more.
