I think Hertl will have a strong game, but the USA will (hopefully) prevail.

5-2 USA.

I am hoping that if the Czechs don't win, they make winning for the U.S. painful and tiring. Would love to see the game go into OT.

GO CZECHS GO!!!!

USA wins 4-2. Gally and Miller with a goal and assist each. Gaudreau with 2 assists. Gibson with an outstanding game and Trouba with another blast from the point

Unless Gibson forgets how to play hockey...I can't see the US losing this one. the US probably won't have the same scoring troubles they faced against Russia and Canada. I'm gonna say the best result (loosely used term) I can see for the Czech's is a 4-3 loss.

Gaudreau is gonna light it up from this point on. A goal and an assist for him. USA wins 5-2.

Czechs 3-2, the American goal-scoring woes will continue.

9 goals last game was a pitiful effort huh?

The Czech's aren't as bad as the Slovaks, but their goaltending isn't as good as Canada's and Russia's. The Americans threw a lot of shots at Makarov and Subban. If they can do that they'll easily get more than 2.

Why is Grimaldi penciled in as the 4th line RW? From all indications, the coaching staff isn't happy with him, and at the same time Ryan Hartman has been a pleasant surprise, providing some good forechecking ability, speed, and agitation. And Grimaldi's game doesn't fit well with Bardreau and Pietala at all.

Well apparently Slovakia is on par with Germany and Latvia and no longer one of the 7 hockey superpowers. I think this happened some time during the 2nd period when EJ Hradek started *****ing about "It's only Slovakia."

I don't know when EJ Hradek became the authority on all things hockey. I didn't get the memo on that one, that's for sure.

Housley has to find a way to utilize Rocco as he has a skillset that not many on this roster have. He plays 3rd line at UND, so I would not be surprised to see him fit in well with these two.

Slovakia is no Latvia/Germany but they played like it against USA. Half the goals went thru the goalie and a lot of plays were defensive gaffs. That won't happen against the Czechs and certainly won't happen against any team after the Czechs.

Hradek is a moron. I feel bad for you Americans that have to sit through a game with him doing the color.

It's not like the Americans haven't been getting chances. I think last game has given them a scoring touch, and more importantly, confidence in their abilities.

The problem thus far we've seen is that Rocco does not use his teammates at all very well. Maybe this is to wake him up.

IIHF has the "face off" at 15:00 GMT+6 which is 4:00 AM EST. 5:00 my time. I might stay up for this game. I'd love watch Frk get a dozen penalties or so.
