AFC Divisional Playoff: (3) Houston @ (2) New England

Sunday 4:30 EST from Foxboro!

I really think this is the best matchup for the Patriots. Houston's linebacking corps is beat up and the Patriots' TE duo is healthy and ready to go. Pick the over in this game...

The 2010 Jets game will be brought up often. I have a feeling this will only motivate the Pats to prove that game was a fluke.

I think this will be a tougher game than most believe. I think New England comes out on top, but I'm not expecting the blow out that we saw last time they met!

Sorry Texans. This game may not even be worth watching. Picking Pats in an easy one.

Gronk should be healthy. He wasn't even playing when they faced each other earlier this year. If they can get Talib back this should be a cake walk.

This game will be brought up and it should be. The Texans has the defense to slow us down and if Talib doesn't play, they could get an early lead just like the Jets did that year. I do expect the Pats to dominate the game at some point, but I do fear that they might fall behind early. After all, we had a bunch of slow stars since the first Texan game.

I'm not as confident as some of you, but I do think the Pats will end up winning. Like devils4cup said, their LB corps is in shambles and we have Gronk back. We also have Hernandez, Welker, Woodhead, Ridley and Vereen to attack them in the middle of the field. If they want to clog the middle of the field, we can attack them outside with Lloyd like we did last time around.

We have too many weapons not to win, but stranger things have happened.

Recently the Patriots problems on offense was that they wern't converting on 3rd down as often. With Gronk out it was much easier for teams to cover Welker/Hernandez. Now that the offense is healthy again Houston with be hard pressed to keep all of the Patriots weapons from getting their touches.

I think the only hope for Houston is that Watt and the defensive line can get to Brady and pressure him into bad throws or getting sacks to kill drives.

And they'll have to do it with four guys if not Ridley (if he doesn't fumble, haha) will eat them alive.

It is a perfect match up for us, but I refuse to be overconfident, not after 2009 and 2010.

This won't even be close. We already saw what happened last time Houston went into Foxborough; I expect it to be even worse this time.

The Pat's D isn't otherworldly but I have trouble believing that Schaub won't have a stat-line that looks any more impressive than his first half performance last week against the Bengals.

Pats by 17.

I'm going against the tide here and say the Texans will win a close game and the Pats secondary will be the key to either Houston winning a close one or New England winning by alot. If a team like the Cardinals can beat the Pats in Foxboro by luck then Hoston can win this one with skill.

There's an article in one of the Boston papers proclaiming this as another BYE week for NE and that they should easily handle the awful Texans. The Texans get called awful multiple times in it.

Arian Foster has a snippet of it as his twitter avatar.

That's Dan Shaughnessy. He's a hack who wants the Patriots to lose. Foster is doing exactly what he wants.

Guarantee that article was written with the full intent that the it would rile up the Texans. Shaughnessy just likes the attention.

This game is going to be a lot closer than people think. The Texans may not be who we thought they were, but they're still dangerous. Cincinnati was a tough WC and the Texans shut down their offense. Obviously the Patriots are a lot better, and the game in Foxborough will make a big difference, but this won't be an easy win. Schaub has a big day, but ultimately they lose by 4 after the Pats defense stiffens up late. Take the over.

I'd take the Texans + the 9.5, but I think NE wins the game.
