Superstitions

I am curious. On game night, since the boys have been doing so well. I have noticed that I basicly wear the same clothes (and yes I wash them). I essentially wear my black Sharks t-shirt under which ever game jersey that the team is wearing with a Sharks baseball hat. Am I the only one that is superstitious in this way?

I said no... I don't wear anything special, or do anything special on game days except watch the game. During the playoffs awhile ago, I used to eat the same thing before every game and the Sharks won, but don't do that anymore.

Playoff beard is all I have, but that's more just for fun and tradition than superstition.

Now back when I was still playing (not in the NHL of course) I was pretty bad when it came to superstitions and routines.

I've cut down on superstitious stuff this year. I used to try to wear the same thing, hang the same flag from the same door on the same car.. I'm trying my hardest to just be normal!

No I don't, and I don't believe in all the nonsense about jinxing a team. I believe this team will win the Cup this year and I'm glad to say it.

Usually during the playoffs I'll do stuff like wear my jersey or sharks clothing on game days, and stop shaving of course, but that's mostly just to show support than superstition. I guess I sometimes might fall into superstitions if I do something and then they win during playoff time, but I definitely don't do anything during the regular season.

It's just breaking a tradition (if you post it early)

I used to wear a Sharks shirt all the time during games and now I never wear it. I don't have any superstitions.

I wear a Sharks hat backwards ... that has to be the only Sharks apparel I wear, though. If I do wear anything else, they lose. Has happened 4 times already ... sorry guys.

Then again, I was a goalie ... being superstitious is our nature.

I play NHL09 religiously before every contest and make sure to reel off 100 shots per game. I often get into penalty trouble so the other team is on the PP but oddly enough the more room on the ice I am able to score with my 4 against there 5.

Play NHL09 before game time and I and beat the **** out of dallas and detriot in beginner mode no matter who we are playing that day, it always puts me in a good mood when I beat those two teams 30-0.

I bought my Nabby jersey just before the season begun, so I wear that when I watch each game.

However, I am afraid and ashamed to admit that the one night that I went out with some friends to a Senators game, I wore their colours. Then, I come home to the 3rd period of the Sharks game just in time to watch Nabby hurt himself. That's what I get for cheating on him with another jersey.

Thank god for Boosh and our insane offense.

Please spare me the banstick.

During the playoffs I shave after every loss, during the season nothing special.

Absolutely no fish and/or seafood on game days!!! It's small, but I've been doing it since the 93-94 season...

I somewhat developed a superstition to stay away from other teams board during the Calgary series last year. I actually broke that yesterday to go to the Nashville boards and make sure Arnott was not dead from that dive into the net. Who else has ventured over there? It's dead. Their first GDT vs. us had like 26 posts.

Your Sharks Superstitions?

What are your Sharks superstitions? Do you have a pre-game ritual? Maybe a favorite or lucky article of clothing you wear? What do you do to make sure the Sharks win?

For me, I never, ever wear my Ricci jersey during a game, unless I am attending a game at the Shark tank. The Sharks never seem to win when I wear it at home watching the game...but whenever I make it back to the bay, I make sure to bring it with me because every time I wear it to the Tank they win.

I wear a Nabokov black armor jersey and a snap back retro hat. I also refuse to snog because the last time I did we were eliminated from the playoffs.
