I think they would both clear and that DW will risk it if McLellan wants to keep Irwin in the lineup.

Demers could still be a week or two away so things could change in that time too (injury, Irwin's play falls off, etc).

Sharks are two +20 min. defensemen short. There's really no way you can gauge what the coaches would do with a full deck of cards. Especially at the moment when the team is winning in such a decided fashion. Maybe a couple close games would make it more obvious? Probably tonight...

Just trade Murray, Clowe, Greiss, 1st for a top line dangled or something once the great 88 gets back.

Sharks don't need a top line whatever it is you mentioned

Look at the load that Murray has been carrying for the Sharks. Take a closer look at the matchups. It hasn't been pretty but the Sharks have been winning

Didn't Boyle miss the majority of the third vs. Vancouver? I haven't seen anything mentioned about his anywhere.

Is this of any worry?

Pollak reported that Todd said he got a nose bleed that wouldn't stop. I didn't hear anymore, but presumably it isn't a permanent condition. God, I hope it's not, that would be horrible.

Thanks for the quick response. I didn't see this anywhere. I have had chronic nosebleeds since I was 5 and I don't want to go through with getting it cauterized. It was especially bad when I was playing sports, like wrestling, where there was repeated trauma and the increased aerobic exertion increased blood flow.

Knowing about these issues I think he will be ok.

Thanks again for the info.

#SJSharks Burns doesn't seem close to ready for prime time. Asked if he was encouraged by progress, his response: "I wouldn't use that word"

Were Burnsless; Burnsless I say!!!

I'm seriously wondering if he had Cheech's surgeon now. Yeah, I know each person is different, but I cannot help the kooky things that come up in my head.

I am hoping that Burns frustration (and negative responses) stem more from the competitor in him who wants to be on the ice and contribute to the teams success rather than it actually being as bad as it sounds.

In more positive news

@KevinKurz
Jason Demers sure looks close to a return, based on today's morning skate. #SJSharks

I'm reading this as Burns is a competitive guy and wants to be on the ice for the team, anything less is unacceptable to him.

Classic Sharks. Acquire a top defenseman and then have him get ****ed over.

I remember there was serious discussion between Easy and someone else about the surgical practices and track record of Cheech's surgeon.

How long does this go on without any substantial updates and how many games do the Sharks need to lose in a a row before this board goes into full blown panic over this? I am already worried, but obviously winning and Irwin are helping to provide enough of a distraction.

Damn. Okay I'm back on the tanking bandwagon because we'd need him to win a cup. Go for the cup or the #1 pick! No gray area.

His name is Dr. Heiter, and there's nothing wrong with him except for maybe TOO much vision. That'll be the secret, here are our enhanced pairings:

Irwin Boyle
Vlasic Stuart
Braun Burnsdemersmurray*

*not the same mobility sure, but a physical presence and think of the passing lanes blocked by three sticks not one. New poll, who do you put in the middle?

Douggernaught for me.
