Obviously the Kyper tweet backs up the LeBrun tweet. LeBrun had the fastest fingers here.

Dreger just said the Owners are waiting for the PA to respond.
Lebrun and Dreger reporting both sides are frustrated.

******* the players and ******* the owners. That was the last time I get my hopes up for a season, I'm not believing a damn thing until both sides are at the podium confirming a deal is done. I've never felt so ashamed as a hockey fan then I do right now. It's so embarrassing.

Hilarious. What an issue to get stuck on in the battle of millionaires vs billionaires.

I didn't really expect a deal tonight, I guess just so long as they talk for a while and we get through another 90 minutes without the DOI bogeyman showing up it wasn't a total disaster.

It's the context guys.
Before it was disagreement over EVERYthing, Contracts, variance, etc.
now it's over relatively MINOR things, Pensions, cap for next year.
this is no where near as bad as a month ago.

This is almost following the NBA lockout script word for word, just have to see if the players disclaim interest now.

Chris Botta @ChrisBottaNHL
NHL isn't taking PA disclaimer seriously. Fehr isn't taking Bettman's Jan. 11 deadline seriously. The mistrust never ends.

Dreger and LeBrun's segment will send some of you into a major depression.
Nothing's happening until January 10th or 11th, pretty certain of this.

Renaud Lavoie @RenLavoieRDS
90 minutes before the disclaimer. The NHLPA will use it if they are not close to a deal.

What I took from TSN:
-Both sides were unhappy with the movement on proposals.
-key is they are still talking.
-Players frustrated with pension issue (owners worried about liability)
-Darren got the vibe earlier today a deal could be done, now that vibe has change but could change from minute to minute.
-Lebrun thinks if the players file DOI tonight season might be over, if they don't a deal will get done eventually in his opinion.

So an hour and a half left til we find out how this thing is ending. According to LeBrun if they file it's done(which we all knew) but if they don't then they think they'll be able to figure something out.
I just have a bad feeling about this. Don't feel too much hope in me anymore.

keep in mind
Tom Gulitti @TGfireandice
If the NHLPA does file disclaimer of interest tonight, doesn't mean the season is done. Just complicates matters.
