We might beat Canada in speed, but in terms of talent they blow us out of the water.

If that doesn't change at the midget level, I wouldn't get used to this. So cherish it.

Good game Canada. Best of luck in the Bronze Medal game. So happy with this USA team this tournament. Can't wait for the gold medal game.

USA USA! Seriously, outside of some moments in the 3rd period, Canada had zero chance in this game.

No, actually he was completely useless. I'm pretty sure a novice player could skate better then him today and not cough it up as much.

Looks kind of split between the US and anybody but the US.

1. Why was Canada's goal allowed when the ref behind the net clearly blew the whistle seconds before the "goal"?

2. How could Harrington get the player of the match award? 5 goals against.......

1. IIHF reffing is hilariously bad

2. Binnington would've got it if he played longer, no one else deserved it.

A brawl happens in the Gold Medal game, and the winner is undecided.

I'll be cheering for the Swedes because of Alfie and Karlsson... even though all the Swedish posters hate Canada.

Indeed, because this year there are no excuses. But there have been plenty in the past. If only it were best-on-best, then only Canada would've won. Right.

Congrats to the US, they played a far better game and deserved to win. Gibson was great yet again, he just needs to get a bigger mask for his melon.

Canada? Well, they stunk. A pathetic and lackluster effort all around. This team lacked backbone and heart. I've seen better effort at senior lawn bowling tournaments.

Sweden. If it's a USA/Russia final, USA.

Shocked how flat Canada came out.
Full credit to Phil Housley and his squad though.

Can't blame goaltending or coaching for this one. Players gotta play.

This game just reinforces what Hockey is about Goaltending. Not 1 way high scoring forwards.

Who do you give it to? Offense didn't show up, almost every defender was bad, Subban got pulled and Binnington only played for like a period.

Mccabe was good today, obvious choice. But unnoticed was the work of Tyler Biggs. Great PK, and played safe minutes. If US fans don't know why he was picked by Housley just check your PK stats. He and Troechek are the best PK players of the tourney.
Good points. Going into this game the U.S. had the best goaltending, PP, and PK. It's those team-oriented results that win games and it showed in this game. A lot of unsung heroes for the U.S.-such as Biggs. I also though Grimaldi had a very good game on the forecheck (I'll forgive a few of his no look passes).

Pft. We're talking about a single game knockout in a junior tournament. Great game by the USA and Gibson. Embarrassing game by us.

1. He blew the whistle because he thought the first one was in. Not clear on the rule in that situation but I guess that makes it a goal.

2.You had to be there...

Lol at the tsn commentators saying Gibson didn't have to play ridiculously good. So freakin biased its disgusting. Doesn't matter who its against does it? Canada is the biggest sore loser in international hockey. Anyone else see that cheap knee shot at the end? Even if the US doesn't win the gold beating canada at their "own sport" is just as good. Lets here more excuses why your team got beat by the less talented americans.
