This can't be a serious question and therefore my vote isn't necessary.

Come on people, it is a serious question. Though it is an easy question to answer.....Connor Murphy, of course.

Harrington reminds me of Hamhuis. He should be a solid pro. Murphy needs to work on his game if he wants to have a productive NHL career. As far as this tournament is concerned, it's not even close.

Clearly Murphy is going to be the scapegoat of Canada's early exit. You can clearly see it by several stupid threads made after the USA game.

That said. Harrington had a better tournament.

^ Murphy shouldn't be on the team the first place and he shouldn't gotten the most mins on defense. the collective hate it due to the clear favortism display by his kitchener coach Spott. He also played like crapped.

Somehow, Murphy is responsible for the entire team playing ******? He was bad but he's definitely not being made a scapegoat.

This is Harrington easily.

I agree with the favouritism part.

Objectively, what is Murphy supposed to contribute to Team Canada? Offense, right? 0 points in 5 games. So if he's not contributing offense, what's he contributing?

Harrington wasn't very good tonight, but he was great in the prior games.

I've heard a couple people say this. Why?

He finished even on a team that lost by 4 goals - the only defenseman other than Ouellet, who got walked for a goal by Vesey. He was again Canada's go-to PKer, and the US was 0 for 7. He broke up a 2-on-1 involving Galchenyuk.

The one goal against he was on the ice for was the 1st one, a scramble that started when he was clipped behind the knee by McCabe and was playing catch-up the rest of the play.

He got Canada's player of the game for a reason.

To be fair, no one was good in the US game. Though, throughout the entire tourney, Harrington was probably Canada's best dman.

He fell multiple times in the first which resulted in premium chances against. He wasn't making good passes in the offensive zone. His reads weren't as good as in past games.

I'm not saying he played poorly, but he didn't play well, either. So-so game from him, but that's better than 90% of the rest of the team.

I guess we'll have to disagree. The only Harrington fall in the 1st that I can recall resulting in a premium chance was the aforementioned McCabe play on the 1st goal. Bobby Mac called out the pairing on scrambly play there at intermission but he didn't look at what preceded it. As far as I saw, he was making the same safe, efficient passes he usually does.

Either way, it can be difficult to pick out good players when the team plays as poorly as Canada did.

Murphy was unimpressive throughout. After his draft yr, I assumed he would improve defensively and have a more mature offensive game, but he hasnt improved at all.

I voted Harrington. No brainer.

Who would you have chosen instead of Ryan Murphy?

Dumba? Pouliot? Corrado? Spoul? Your Momma?

Personally, I would've done with Pouliot given that his hockey IQ is very high and is on a similar level to Dumba & Murphy offensively.

Based on selection camp probably Corrado, but Pouliot is having a big year in Portland. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20.

Imo arguably worst Canadian vs. the best D, so not fair poll. Harrington looks like a great find by Pens scouts.
