Best goalie in 2013 draft pool.

Who would you pick if you had to take a goalie in the upcoming draft?

Spencer Martin followed by Zach Fucale, then Eric Comrie.

Spencer Martin.

Love this kids compete level. Almost always guaranteed to stop the 1st shot. Needs to work on rebound control, but that's a minor detail for a kid his age.

Juuse Saros, HPK Finland. Amazing in juniors, in 25 games GAA 1.56 with saving % 94,1. Next Finnish super goalie, he's only 17 years old but it looks like he's HPK:s first or second goalie next year in men's Finnish Elite League. Pretty impressive.

Fucale for me, but I've never seen Martin. Comrie for me is a top 30-40 pick.

I'd give Fucale the slight edge over Martin.

Zach Fucale. I thought he was a bit overrated going into the season. However he seems to have gotten even better as the season progresses. Fucale is very composed and mentally strong. He moves well laterally and has a excellent butterfly style and glove hand. Good rebound control and plays the angles well.

Thanks for the heads up.

Quite a few finnish players I want to watch before the draft. I'll give him a look sometime.

He is a good goalie, I've seen him play, but he won't be taken ahead of Fucale, Martin or Comrie.

From what I can see, he makes spectacular saves, but saves he shouldn't be making. Had he been in position in the first place, it would have been an easy save.

He's definatly got potential, but he's just not as good as the other 3 or 4 goalies mentioned.

as a steelhead season ticket holder at the beginning of the year to easily see Martin as a 1st round lock. he's had his troubles the past month and is now splitting time. a strong second half tho i believe makes him the first goalie chosen. alrdy owns nhl size for a goalie and is very mobile.

I've seen both goalies, and I'd give a slight edge to Martin. To start the season Martin was the best goaltender in the OHL. Although he's had his struggles, its expected for young goaltenders. Fucale is fantastic, and you would argue that he has a excellent team in front of him, but he is also responsible for keeping his team in many tight games. Before Mississauga acquired Clint Windsor, it was stated that Martin required surgery so there could be an argument that he's playing through an injury which has stalled his play. Fucale has played 29 while Martin has played 25 games and Martin has a slightly better save percentage, on a Mississauga team that isn't as talented as Halifax.

Its extremely tight though:-
Fucale/Martin 1A/1B
Comrie

Other notables:-
Tristan Jarry
Michael Guigovaz
Alex Fotinos
Jordan DeKort
Philippe Desrosiers
Eamon McAdam

Fucale. He is crazy poised. Still very surprised that he didn't get invited to the WJC.

From what I've seen and read, it's Fucale.

The problem is with this type of poll, is that so many more people have seen or heard things about Fucale, and not so much about the others, so Fucale would win in a landslide, unless the others got some more media attention (Whih frankly I hope they don't, cause then they could get overrated which is a whole different topic).
