Why the **** were Rielly and Murphy on the ice in overtime? Can someone explain that to me?
Even a casual observer of the game can see that they're both defensive liabilities. It boggles the mind that they played even 1 second of hockey as a pairing in this tournament but in OT of a medal game?
lmao blaming rielly cause Murphy couldnt stop his man??? your a joke..
It was the winger on Rielly's side who scored the goal, no? If Rielly doesn't bring himself completely out of the play then Murphy doesn't have to get beat like that. Both are to blame, never should have been out there together.
After the game against Germany, how many pts did he have 5 on 5? That's the critisism that can be directed at RNH. But, I don't think that's his fault. RNH should have had the puck all the time. It was ages ago we saw a max age 1st overall pick in the WJC's and its possible that we never will see one again, and with the puck RNH is as dominant as he should be. But 5 on 5 he just don't get it. That's on the Canadian players around him and on their coach.
Brutal play by Murphy there. But some blame to Spott has to be put out.
Rielly-Murphy should never have been a D pairing. Rielly pinches a little bit expecting Murphy to move to the left. Of course Murphy has the defensive awareness of Phil Kessel so that doesn't work out, and then he just gets burned.
Spott needs to go.
That's my view too. Murphy never should have been out there to make that weak play in the first place
I've never seen a worse performance by a player wearing he maple leaf than Murphy. His 3rd period and OT today were so bad you had to laugh. Not only will be never play for Canada again, I'm pretty sure he'll never live this down. I hope I never hear that name again. My 8 year old nephew would e at least got a piece of that guy on true way by. For shame Murphy. For shame. You ****ing suck at hockey.
Congrats Russia. You sucked but not quite as bad as ryan Murphy. You're welcome.
Murphy is what he is - a PP specialist. He had no business being on the ice in an ES strength situation in OT - that's on Spott, he simply didn't put his players in a position to succeed.
