I don't see where he'd fit. RW is probably our strongest position with Gaborik, Nash and Callahan. I think even Mike Rupp serves more of a purpose on the team than Kovalev would. Can anyone see Kovalev coming here to play on the fourth line? I can't.

He may have one hell of a pair of hands, but besides the issue with his age, his best hockey has always been out of New York, so I say no.

I could argue that his best hockey was the 1994 playoffs. Otherwise in the regular season, that's true.

That's probably the one place where he could work out. Even Wolski had an impact there last year... must be the pleasant weather.
