His opinions of Scheifele being likely a 3rd line C at best isn't really something that is new. In fact at about the mid-draft period (around this time two years ago) that was what a lot (not all) third-party scouts were thinking of him... 1C upside but safely projects as 3C.
I think we can, and it may be justified at times, get our backs up against the wall and become overly defensive and sensitive.
We get angry that people aren't paying attention to details like Scheifele's development, progression and improvements. It's ok though.

TroubaFan:
Listen...
Your thinking that Scheifele's ceiling at any particular level isn't wrong.
Your thinking that Scheifele's trajectory is at any particular level isn't wrong.
Your wanting of any particular player over or is better than another isn't wrong.
These are all subjective opinions that people create by formulating an idea out of facts. No one should bully you for that.

What is bothering people is you seem to stress the things that prove your point and ignore any evidence (whether concrete or circumstantial) against your claims. People here are all going to have differences of opinions and that's going to cause for people to rationalize their ideas over another.
The problem is the way you express your rationalization isn't done in a way that seems to promote things other than conflict. You may be expressing your opinions but the way is obviously making people raise their arms in action... and you have to expect that when you are discussing things on the Jets board. I've done this too and so we all have, and so it can be hypocritical get to angry with you. I've even did it to you when we debated the clutch thing.
Just small examples, the way you clip out sections of peoples comments when you quote, ignore particular responses or sections of responses and your inability to accept that other people's rationalization may be correct at times. These things won't push the right buttons. But, like I said, we all make these faults at times...

Everyone:
Let's be honest... there is a chance TroubaFan could end up being right.
But, even Scheifele's largest professional skeptics have pointed out that his progression has risen his stock and most now say that he has 1C upside but safely projects as a 1C/2C tweener. While people may not accept with that oppinion, people should not be able to say that opinion is without merit.
Nice post Garret. Anything and everything can happen in regards to our prospects. Anything and everything can happen with our team.

But we all should be hoping for the best (as fans of the team), and I think that is where sometimes things go off the rails. When (rightly or wrongly), people feel like others aren't on that same page.

No I don't but I could reach out that way although I rarely use Facebook. Suppose I should have used a different word than poke
