If he keeps this up, we need to sign him. Haven't seen much of him, but have always been impressed.

Look at the shot differential tonight, Texas is the anti-Dallas.

Petersen gets a ENG, 4-1 Texas. Fraser on a 9 game point streak.

Just saw the hardest slapshot competition for the AHL all-star game, and Jamie Oleksiak managed to hit a 99.3 mph shot. His second shot didn't register because he missed the net.

Whoops, he missed the net twice. Missing the net is a common trait all Dallas D-man carry, unfortunately.

4 targets in 5 shots for Fraser in the accuracy competition. Pretty awesome.

Oleksiak had an assist and was a +3 in last night's All Star game. Fraser had a goal.

Marlies coach Dallas Eakins was on Toronto radio yesterday morning. He coached the West at the AHL all star game, and had some high praise for Fraser. Said he was one of the few "on another level" in the game.

According to the AHL site, the Stars also signed Austin Fyten to a PTO. Left wing, 6'2, 200. 21 years old.

He plays in Idaho.

Quote:
Hundred Degree Hockey has learned late today that forward Austin Fyten will be joining the Texas Stars on a professional tryout contract (PTO). Fyten was in camp with Texas and has spent the season in Idaho. Through 43 games, he has 14 goals, 26 assists and a plus-17 rating. The first year left winger out of the ECHL has 22 points in the last 14 games for Idaho. The forward will join Texas at an opportune time for both, as injuries in Dallas and Texas have hampered the club from icing a full complement on their forward lines. Texas dressed no more than eleven forwards for several games prior to the All-Star Break.
