With Dallas, No, but neither does Dowling. Both have received top minutes over Dallas prospects though most of the season (since the NHL started for Dowling).

Oh yeah .... Mike Commodore could play his first game tomorrow.

Tough loss for Ritche, but really excited to see him in Austin.

Man, I can't wait to see Ritchie down here. I have a feeling he may not play for a couple of weeks since he'll need to get practice and transition. I can see him getting scratched the first couple of weeks and then play the last 2-3 games before the playoffs.

I'd venture to guess that he'd be placed on the same line as Petersen. I wouldn't be surprised if they did Petersen-Vause-Ritchie as the 4th line.

Good question, I honestly don't remember how they handled him at first. I think he came in within 3 games?

I'm trying to think of players we threw into the fire as soon as we got them.

Don't count J. Morrow because he was already a AHL "vet."

I mean Chaisson, Oleksiak, and Nemeth I remember starting with lower ice time (hell, Nemeth got scratched quite a few times).

Also, new coach/system than the last couple of years and I think Willie tends to be a little more cautious with newer players.

I looked it up. His last OHL game was 3/18. His first AHL game was only 5 days later on 3/23.

I think it's highly likely Ritchie is in next weekend. He'll only miss tomorrow's game probably.

Wow .... Brenden Dillon's last WHL game was 3/20 ... his first AHL game was 2 days later on 3/22.

Hmmm...well, looking at it, Texas should have the first seed of the WC locked up unless they totally screw the pooch the next month. There's a week of rest after tomorrow's game.

Ok I can see Ritchie coming in during one of the games next weekend.

Kootenay Ice forward Brock Montgomery has signed with the Texas Stars of the AHL. #WHL
I don't know much about him. He scored 20 goals last year, and 30 goals this year.

One hour from puck drop. Huge test tonight against one of the top teams in the West.

Feels like I'm watching a Dallas game so far. Texas being sloppy in the defensive zone and Jack standing tall bailing them out.

A few good chances for Texas though. GR is a shot blocking machine.

GRG dances around Sneep and scores with a close over the shoot on Campbell.

1-0 GRG

Got to the game in time for Grand Rapids to score. Dowling just tied it, was awesome.

Dowling gets his own rebound and puts it past Mrazek.

1-1

I'm in section 114 in the front most row in this section (overlooking one of the tunnels) and I'm in this weird seat in the crotch of the angled row, the arm rests point inward, makes it hard to get up and sit down.

Morin tips one in from a pass from Sceviour that goes just in front of Mrazek.

2-1 Texas

This probably explains it better. Got a great view though, and perhaps the only spot I've sat in with cell signal

Ha! You're pretty much directly across from me. I'm up above 102 in the Loge seats. Nice and comfy here ;D
