Create 5-Team Divisional Trades that Benefit All

I thought it could be a fun challenge to create a 5-way trade featuring all the teams in your favorite team's division that'd benefit them all.

It is far from perfect but it at least meets some team needs and wants. And yes I know it would never ever happen.

This will probably get me flamed but I will try to play the game.

To Ottawa: Dion Phaneuf
Pared with Cowen on the PK and Karlsson on the PP and I think he can work wonders.

To Toronto: David Krejci
Finally get their #1 Centre to play with Kessel and Lupul

To Buffalo: Milan Michalek
Very talented RW/LW to play on top line, cheaper than Vanek.

To Boston: P.K. Subban
Young future franchise D, play with his brother.

To Montreal: Thomas Vanek
high goal scorer.

Flame away

From Buffalo's prospective it sort of makes sense. Especially if the cap is coming down.

From an Islander standpoint I think the Islander components are very fair.

Value wise, actually not bad. Hab fans everywhere cry at the idea of Subban in a Bruins jersey though. And I do mean cry.

Although I can't see habs fans liking the idea of trading Subban away for Vanek.

Ill give 'er a shot..

To Boston:
Erik Cole
Jesse Blacker

Boston Gives:
Brad Marchand

To Buffalo:
Brad Marchand

Buffalo Gives:
Jhonas Enroth
Nathan Gerbe

To Ottawa:
JM Liles

Ottawa Gives:
Mark Stone

After finishing this came out a lot worse then I expected. I think this proposal actually makes all 5 teams worse. Which definitely takes some sort of skill

Hudler was signed by Calgary & Detroit is in the market for a #1 (so is everyone else it seems) and while I like Jack Johnson, I'm not super-duper excited about a Gustafsson-Mrazek goaltending tandem.

Not bad value for the other teams though.

Ottawa wouldn't give up Smith for Weber.

But other than that it looks good

To Toronto: David Krejci (Finally get their #1 center)
To Buffalo: Tomas Plekanec (Veteran top-six C, takes pressure off Hodgson/Ennis)
To Montreal: Milan Michalek (Add a winger to play with Eller/Galchenyuk)
To Ottawa: John-Michael Liles + Draft Pick (Ottawa needs another defenceman)
To Boston: Andrek Sekera + Draft Pick (Underrated shutdown defenceman)

I would think it's Buffalo fans that would be crying. Their player Vanek is good enough for Montreal to give up Subban, yet they only recieve Milan Michalek?

It's otherwise pretty good but that bit seems a little off.
