I just first wanted to say I'm sorry for not being able to do last games GDT. I had something real special planned out, but the storms the night before knocked out my power for 48 hours. Since Sandy my power is very unstable and response to get it working in my town is worse.

Second, I'm actually in Boston on business. Well, Chelsea (right outside of Boston). I just wish to extend my deepest condolences to those here affected by the tragedies and my prayers for those injured. Sports are an important part of life and are a celebration of humanity's greatness. The fact that people persevere after such tragedies and evil is just proof that there is more good in the world than evil. My prayers and thoughts are with you Boston.

Third, let's get those two points.

Does anyone have the Islanders Kids Club?

I got it for my kid at the end of last season and we got two ticket vouchers. They say they are good for weekday games. I wanna try and use them to go to this game but I just wanna make sure they can be used... I don't wanna drive all the way out there for nothing..

Oh.. and I think this ones gonna end up Isles 5 - Panthers 1

got tickets last night. A win could pretty much guarantee a playoff spot! 5 road games left after tonight. Final push !

We haven't been receiving much help recently. A win + a Winnipeg loss would be amazing.

Excuses are like In-Laws. Everyone has some and they all smell like onions & herring.

I see you adopted the over-monkey system. That is a good start down the path to redemption. Spare no banana.

Guess who's back? back again. Truman's back, tell a friend!

Welcome Back!!

I did not do my keys to victory and we lost so here goes.

Islanders Keys To Victory VS Florida

Score 1st:
The Islanders are 15-3-3 when scoring 1st and Florida has the leagues worst record when giving up the 1st goal (3-19-4).

Home Cooking:
After a awful start we are 4-0-1 in our last 5 home games and 1 of those games was against Florida on 3/24 where we won 3-0. Florida sits dead last in the NHL with a abysmal 35 road goals thus far this season.

"The Hangover"
We are 2-1 this year following Rag's games. We lost on 2/9 to Buffalo (3-2) in a game where we out shot them 43-15. The next two were wins against the Devils on 2/16 (5-1) and the Capitals on 3/9 (5-2).

MM's Prediction

BaileyOkposoJTNielsenMoulson's 5
GocUpshall's 2

Despite their record, we can't take them lightly, Markstrom can take over a game. That said, as long as we don't take our foot off the gas, this should be a solid win.

Florida is a sneaky and good team lately. They are 4-4 in their last 8 games and in at least 2 of those loses I feel they out played their opponent. Except for the Winnipeg blowout they have been very good in every game. Need the Islanders to come out from the opening face off and put it on them and not look back. Time for a hatty and I am predicting it will be Grabner.

@Trumanperro: Excuse accepted, glad to have the monkey back
Hope they don't take this too easy, fight hard and come out with two points. Don't really care about who scores and how
Was always rooting for Grabs to score against the team that put him on waivers but he never did
Edit: Sorry looked it up, he did once in 2011

I'll be there tonight. Not sure where, but it was one of those Fan Pack ticket deals.

Nothing more to say other than they just need to keep doing what they have been doing and win this!

I hope the isles aren't foolish enough to take any team lightly.

Let them bring the same effort, they put into the Flyer/B's/Ranger games and come out with 2 pts.

Let's go Isles

i don't think this team is taking ANYTHING lightly as of late. it seems as if they've rarely taken a shift off over the past 2-3 weeks. i fully expect them to come out with the same work ethic and attitude they've displayed over this stretch.

No.

A win + a Winnipeg loss? Now that would be a huge step. But even then, we still have to play Winnipeg in a 4 point swing game. Nothing is even close to wrapped up.

It's crazy how huge EVERY game is. We've been in playoff mode for 2 weeks now. Gotta wonder if we do make the playoffs, if we can catch the higher seeds sleeping a bit and steal game 1 or 2.

What a ****in night coming up.. Isles, Sens, Rangers, Caps and Jets are playing. As an Islanders fan I've gotten use to waiting for the worst BUT if you would bet on these five games would you never get all of them right? Nope. We keep up playing like we have played and we WILL win but I am sure one of the four others will loose. Why I am sure? Cause I know many bettors and none of them is a millionaire.

The Isles are -210 tonight. They haven't been this heavy of a favorite in years. The Isles BETTER WIN! A five game roadtrip to close out the slate IS NEVER EASY no matter how well they have been playing on the road.

Yeah I think the game in Winnipeg on Saturday night if won will make me feel 100% positive about making the playoffs.
