Proposal: Leafs - Sharks ( Prospects swap)

- Tomas Hertl

Why Sharks do this? They get a big C prospect who could slot into their line-up sooner and add some size while we are at it. They also get a potential 3rd liner in Ross who can bring plenty of grit, agitating, energy, and some decent scoring. Blacker is struggling a little but I don't think he is very far away from making an NHL, could be an intriguing bottom-pairing d-man for Sharks in the future.

Why Leafs do this? They get a solid all-around C prospect who isn't himself far away from making an NHL jump, but may need some adjustment in North american games before making any sort of impact. He is a very good prospect, certainly has upside to be a top 6 C in the NHL and potential to be more.

As of now, Hertl shows more promise than any of those. If there's one thing San Jose's prospect pool is missing, it's potential impact players. Doesn't make sense for them to move their best shot at one for a few struggling AHLers.

Not what Toronto Needs. Rather Keep Colbourne. He put up decent numbers in Czech Leagues but without seeing him play in North America Leafs pass. Let alone adding in Blacker and Ross (captain of the Calder Cup finalist Marlie team).

Leafs Pass, price too high and not worth the risk.
