Good call, he managed to get it done despite the second set collapse.

Monaco out in the first round. I could see him take a dive in the rankings this year.

All 3 Canadians up on day 2.

Canada's Milos Raonic plays his first-round match at the Australian Open tonight and you can see it live on TSN2 at approximately 8:30pm et/5:30pm pt.

Heather Watson through. Laura Robson plays tomorrow I believe.

Watson has Pervak next. Murray play tonight?

American men went 4-2 on day 1, not awful. At least Baker and Querrey play each other so one will make it to round three. Sad it has become this bad. Will be cheering for Baker in that one.

Hewitt blew the break he had in the second set, and that was pretty much it for him. Nice job by Tipsarevic finishing it in three sets.

Hasse-Murray at 00:00 I believe.

Shouldn't be too hard for Murray.

Murray is starting in about 10 minutes.

Maximum of 29 degrees celsius today...warming up here in Melbourne.

Mayer down two sets to love to Rhyne Williams of all people.

No idea what's happening but this would be a terrible loss for Mayer if it holds.

Kimiko Date-Krumm becomes the oldest woman (43) to win a singles match at the AO, casually dispatching 12th seed Petrova 6-2, 6-0.

This is the biggest meltdown I've seen in quite some time.

Lisicki up 3-0 in final set. 20+ unforced errors in final set, Wozniacki wins something like 21 points, 18 of them from unforced errors

57 unforced errors to 8 in the match

23 to 2 in final set.

She had a run of something like 15 unforced errors in 17 points or something as well. FFS.

Should of killed Wozniacki in the final set when 3-0 up

Hajek, playing defensively sound tennis, takes the first set off Raonic. The Milos 2013 model looks very similar to the Milos 2012 model so far.

Yes, ridiculous stuff from her.

Raonic loses the first set 6-3 to Hajek.

the major problem I have seen with milos is consistency. During one point he can be amazing, yet in another he can easily double fault or try to paint the line. In order to compete with the likes of Novak, Roger and Andy he has to play more consistently.

Fast work from Milos that set, which after a couple of tight games went very quickly in Raonic's favour.

Mistakes piling up for Hajek. Milos with a break in the second....I think this one's over.

Serena has apparently fallen and called the trainer.

Looked nasty, but she walked back to her chair on her own.

Embarrassing when Serena could barely move towards the end of the first set and it still finished 6-0. Moving better now.

Mayer wins the fourth set tiebreak 14-12, saving two match points. On to a fifth.
