I think coach PaulRus have already said Noesen and Ceci will return to junior hockey once the camp is over, gonna find the quote.

here's from Senatorsextra.com

Quote:
CECI, NOESEN IN CAMP AS CONFIDENCE BOOST: Senators coach Paul MacLean says there’s little chance that either defencemen Cody Ceci or winger Stefan Noesen will make the NHL team this season and will likely be returned to their junior clubs next week.

However, MacLean says being part of the 27-player camp is important for their development.

“Since we drafted (Ceci), he has gone through an awful lot and not all of it has been positive,” said MacLean, referring to a season which has included a dreadful start by the Ottawa 67′s, the trading of Ceci to Owen Sound and the fact he didn’t make the Canadian world junior team. “Having him here gives him an opportunity for the coaching staff to provide some input to his game, going forward. The same with Noesen. We’re giving him an opportunity to show us how he can potentially help our team (in the future).”

I seen a tweet saying that Anderson won't start in the home-opener. What's going on there?

Paul MacLean says that Craig Anderson is the Sens definitive No. 1 goalie, but he's not sure he will start the season opener at WPG.

He's saying he doesn't know yet. Nothing to read into there. But of course it is possible bishop starts in wpg and anderson plays the home opener. Or andy plays both. Or they both get injured and lehner plays both. It's monday, game is on saturday.

Speaking of videos on the sens site, seeing Weircioch in that workout shirt, you can really tell he's FINALLY taken the org's plea to work on conditioning to heart.

About time. Explains his 180-degree turn in Bingo this year, IMO. Proof is in the pudding.

He may have taken his training that much more seriously this year...but it could also be because his body is maturing and he's better equiped to add good weight now.

All of a sudden a guy everyone got a little bored with a legitmate prospect to play top 4 minutes in the future.

Wiercioch has been playing with Gonchar but evidently Maclean has said Boro will get a chance there today.

I think they will send Ceci and Noesen back to juniors, they said they would like only shed 3 players before Saturday.

http://www.ottawacitizen.com/sports/...598/story.html

Depending on that goaltending decision, the Senators will take either 22 or 23 healthy players with them to Winnipeg.

Murray says he’ll start the season with one extra forward (likely Kaspars Daugavins) and one extra defenceman. If, as expected, Cody Ceci is sent back to Owen Sound of the Ontario Hockey League, that means Binghamton call-ups Patrick Wiercioch, Mark Borowiecki and Andre Benoit will all start the season with Ottawa. The lingering question is which of the three sits out the opening game.
.................................................. ......

Wiercioch has been paired with Sergei Gonchar for the opening two days of camp, but Borowiecki will receive a look with Gonchar at Tuesday’s workout.
.................................................. ..........................................

As much as Wiercioch has impressed early on, Borowiecki showed a measure of what he brings to the ice during Monday’s spirited scrimmage, involved in a healthy hitting exchange with fellow defenceman and Ottawa native Marc Methot at the blueline.

Not that he's an important cog in the team, but JOB has gone down to #18.

Hopefully today is more intense. They have been running systems and breakouts quite a lot, but could use some physical corner drills or something to really get back into game shape.
