Maybe he forced his way onto the team through his play? From all that I could gather he didn't look out of place there.

Probably not, but he still hasn't been sent down to serve as insurance should we have another injury. He might watch a few games from the press before getting sent down.

Will Lundin be healthy (and potentially playing) for the season opener?

Lundin will be out a month-ish at the season start. And Ceci has to clearly "outplay" somebody to take a spot. Just fitting in as a junior aged player doesnt work, you hve to have a clear advantage.

Only one more practice so its unlikely they are concerned for Gonchar or Phillips.

It would definitely be a huge surprise if this happened. Ceci has just been ok, PW, Boro and Benoit have all been much better IMO.

No. He'll probably be out for another 3 weeks.

Plymouth plays tomorrow night, Owen Sound doesn't play until Friday, maybe that is the reason.

Plus him missing camp and being injured the past couple of seasons, its going to take a couple of weeks to get into game shape.

The only reason why Methot was only 5th in TOI/G is because of PP time, which he never plays (he's a defensive defenseman)

He was 4th in TOI/G at ES, but 3rd before Jack Johnson (which they traded Jeff Carter for) came... and JJ only had 9 seconds more than Methot at ES per game...

At ES, Methot was on the 2nd pair most of the time
Exactly, he was a top-pairing defender after all.

I heard rumors that Noesen was acting like the Texan from the Mighty Ducks movies and showed up to practice in a cowboy hat trying to lasso people. Sens brass probably were looking for a more traditional approach to training camp.

The modern "net-crasher" exists because of Ciccarelli, he revolutionized that style of play. I'd say of ANY Hall-of-Famer, he got the most out of limited skill. I find his career to be phenomenally impressive. The only thing that kept him out of the Hall for so long was that he was also a certifiable off-the-ice douchecanoe for much of his career.

I'm happy that I'm not the only one who uses the term douchecanoe.

Since the new CBA got rid of re-entry wiavers, we have no problems bringing up Benoit this year, correct?

Correct.

The only issue would be potentially losing him to waivers when we send him back down.

I think that there is a fairly good chance that he gets claimed if we send him down.

Yea but its worth it to treat him well since he came back for us, and won a cup as well down there.

Its now or never for Andre to make the show, because our defensive depth is never going to be weaker than now.

Hopefully Owen Sound can go on a nice run in the playoffs. Would be huge for Ceci's development.

Yeah he had that whole answering his door naked thing, and of course trying to chop off Luke Richardson's head.

I remember watching guys literally cross check him in the neck, just absolutely abuse the guy, but you couldn't knock him down or move him very far. The guy definitely paid the price for his 600+ goals.
