Bryz was getting pissed tonight. Not sure if it was for defense in front of him or the goals he was letting in. At one point he threw his water bottle I believe.

All in all, he was still a big reason why the Flyers were able to hold out for the win though.

I think it was a bit of both. I don't think you can blame him for the first 2. Kennedy and Neal's were both stoppable imo (although Neals came on a 5 on 2 essentially).

Ya, and Coburn didn't pay attention to the side Sutter came out on. But Bryz is usually really good at poke checking guys attempting that move, but he seemed very passive on that play and it burned him.

Not Bryz's fault but not Giroux's either. WTF was the defense doing if Giroux was the only one around the net.

shout out to the PK units. pens are #2 and james neal is a force. Giving up 1 is acceptable considering our top 3 PK guys were in the box. Coots, Feds, and Talbot. 6 mins of penalties and 4 mins of 5-3 practically. That was the game right there. I know we gave up 2 and blew the 21 straight kills, but that was huge right there.

****** thing about that Neal goal is that Bryz was in good position for going post to post. Neal just got really lucky on placement and the puck found a two inch opening at Bryz's armpit.

The other three goals, meh, he couldn't do much.
Again, both plays were made because the Flyers defence were nowhere to be found. The Kennedy goal was a hard shot to stop, the original shot hit Kennedy then he spins and basically has free ranging in the flyers crease. Unacceptable by (it was grossman or Coby) to not take the man and tie up the stick. As a fan and a player you can't expect goalies to make saves they can't see, from areas guys have no business shooting from. As for the Sutter goal, guy just muscled his way out front while 4 flyers watched him. Its one of those goals, as a goalie you don't expect a guy to walk all the way out, rather try a jam play and hope for a dogpile. Thats the way she goes. Team played fantastic team defence until the parade to the box in the 3rd and even then did a remarkable job only surrendering the lone goal. Bryz played well enough to win and thats all I ask.

Bryz was livid tonight as well. He's normally such a happy guy from what i've seen of him. I think it's good that he's so motivated but I think if he keeps letting it get to him it could cause a bad performance.

Yeah, it's a little early to be worried but his play has slipped a little from the reliable wall he's been early in the season.

I think the pressure might be setting in. He knows the goals aren't coming as easy as normal and feels like everyone he lets in is the game winner.

I think it's more that he knows he's playing well this year and he's frustrated that his defense aren't holding up their end of the bargain.

I thinkk you are right. People who separate Bryz GAA from overall team defence are going to be disapointed in our goaltending situation yet again.

Bryz has been good (not perfect); there are a few goals that he needed to save; but the team often leaves him out to dry.

When team plays well in defence we have games like rangers, TB, jets, islanders.

This is pretty interesting so far. I don't like 94wip but Mike speaking Russian was good.

I'm not surprised he's frustrated. He must be exhausted, he's not getting the defensive support he needs (and has a right to expect, really) and it's all eyes on him for every goal that happens. He's the main and almost sole reason we're even in shouting distance of a playoffs spot this year at all, so I'm grateful to the guy. And I'm glad he cares so much when it's not working. Hopefully the lack of travel, and ability to relax in his own home, will rest him up now.

I'm someone else who'd really, really appreciate it if anyone can spare the time to give the gist of the interview.
