Vote for Gaudreauby Baker for the Hobey Baker

http://www.hobeybakeraward.com/page/...y-2013-phase-i

I can't quite figure out how they decided to order the list, but he's somewhere in the bottom half of that mess of names.

Does this determine the finalists for the award or the winner of the award?

Not sure. Given that it says 'Phase I' I think it's just for finalists. Not sure how the winner is determined.

Just use Ctrl + F to find Gaudreau, lol. Currently he is 2nd behind Corban Knight of North Dakota.

Personally I hope he gets left off the list and uses it as motivation like he did with the WJC team last year he was a different player with a chip on his shoulder I think he deserves to win it but I would love to see that chip on his shoulder again.

He's now 2nd behind a senior in Corban Knight

Honestly, even if he loses, it's still a big accomplishment to be considered one of the best players in NCAA as a sophomore

No this along with 58 coaches ballots determine the top 10 and a selection committee determines the winner.

Interesting, do you think the fact that he is younger will help him or work against him?

Definitely help. Not often you see a sophomore contend for the Hobey

I don't think it helps or hurts to be honest I think they will choose the best and it tends to be the best offensive player so as long as he keeps his ppg close to 2 he should have a solid chance at winning it.

Hmmm, I don't know. I never vote lightly and JG recently had a terrible World Junior's performance.

It seems University of North Dakota fans have tried to play catch up.

Gaudreau is up by 38.

If you could help out by voting and spreading the word, it'd be great.

It has no effect on if JG wins or not. 10 are chosen to go a selection committee who pick the winner.
