Uh...No. Why would the Blues downgrade?

Stewart seemed to be doing well yesterday. I'm not sure why they'd do this. Or why the Blues would make a significant trade in general.

Value is not there for St.Louis and the Flyers shouldn't been trading away a guy, with a steal of a deal, like Read. 2nd doesn't do much for St. Louie they're contenting as well

Blues don't touch this. I like Read, but Stewart's potential is just too great to deal for anything outside of an obvious upgrade. It really seems like Stewart might be putting things together this year.

2nd doesn't mean much, and Stewart is a better player than Read. No deal from St. Louis's side.

He always looked like that his issue is doing it consistently over a long season.

I seem to remember read out scoring Stewart by 17 points last season as a rookie.

But really, neither team does this. Stewart still has a lot of potential, and read is on a tremendous contract for us. No real reason for either side to make this deal.

He hit the gym pretty hard in the summer and said this is the leanest he's ever been. He looked really good yesterday.

Stewart has almost hit 30 twice. His consistency problem only began last year...All scorers are streaky.

And yes, he is in much better shape. The reports have said 20 pounds and a 6% loss in body fat. Dude is lean and mean now.

Chris Stewart is my dream Flyer. Him and Simmonds are good friends too.

Except Read was as old in his rookie year as Stewart is now

I think Voracek for Stewart is closer in value. Voracek probably fits Hitch's system better than Stewart. Flyers could use a finisher.

Do not want Voracek. The Blues need finishers. Since when is Armstrong in the market of selling low?

Stewart would be awesome in Philly.. Stewart+ <-> Voracek or Stewart <-> Read+/Wellwood++. I see that Stewart is awesome in Philly, just made up for Lavis systems.

It's awesome because St. Louis gets ripped off. We don't want Voracek or Read. Couts is the only player I'd consider because it actually fits a need of the Blues. Too much? Probably, but that's what it'd take.

Good news, it's only a 48 game season.

Haha....okay. Stewart has one good game an all of sudden his value sky rockets? Cmon man, Voracek has just as much if not higher than Stewart.

Read and a 2nd is not a good deal for Blues because Stewart is better now and higher ceiling, but I grantee you that Read is a better player defensively. And that goes for all 3 players.

So his 2 seasons where he almost hit 30 don't count? That's what I figured. Like I said, it might be too much to ask for, but regardless, that's who we ask for. No more, no less.

Lucky for us there are only 48 games this year...

Truthfully, it seems to be an issue for most 25-35 goal scorers. For the most part, they tend to be streaky. Very few of them produce at a steady rate throughout the season.

Given how they've started the season, no way do I see the Blues shipping out Stewart for a downgrade unless its for a big upgrade on D like Yandle.
