Just cant let go Sakic n all the players i saw n follow them in drafting after all those years (4years)rock bottom, so its 32 + years i follow the same organization

Ah I remember those days, listening to avs games on radio, I was a wee pup and crying and begging my mum to late me stay up late, to finish the game. The only games I used to watch regularly were the ones CBC braodcasted, it was like CHristmas when the avs were on during the late game.

You think you had it bad? The 5 years the Nords sucked giant monkey balls co-insided with my entire time at high school. To make matters worse, my high school principal was a huge Habs fan and kept bugging me about my terrible favourite team. I didn't win a single bet! Living in Ontario, being the ONLY Nords fan at my entire high school and they totally sucked!

Then, they start getting better and I finally decided to move back to Quebec (my family had moved back here a few years earlier) and as I arrive in April '95, I learn 2 months later that they are moving to Colorado!! Hurray!

It didn't bother me as much because I could see their future ending up a lot like the Oilers of the 90s and not being able to hang on to their star players. If the Nordiques had stayed in Quebec, I truly believe that Joe Sakic would have been a New York Ranger in 1997 and they wouldn't have been able to match that front loaded offer.

It wasn't that bad for me since I was used to rarely seeing my favourite team live or on TV except and odd time here and there against the Sabres anyways. As soon as NHL Center Ice came out in (1998-99 I think) with Bell Express Vu, I subscribed and was able to see almost every game. Huge difference for sure!

On the Roy trade, it was the first and ONLY time I've ever seen a General Manager interviewed (Lacroix) where he actually had to DEFEND the package he sent the other way when asked basically if he felt he ripped off the other team!

If O'Reilly is staying in Russia for the season, Bozak would be a good option for our #3C spot.
