So recently a new CBA rule was announced to the public.

Any 1 way contract worth more than 900k per season that is sent to the AHL will penalize your team's salary cap.

A popular example: Wade Redden.
He makes $6.5 mil per year on a 1 way contract. The Rangers have him in the AHL.
Since he is making more than 900k, his cap hit partially counts towards the Rangers salary cap.
$6.5 mil - 900k = $5.6 mil cap hit against the Rangers.

It is shown on capgeek as well: http://capgeek.com/rangers/ (look under buyouts)

Also, re-entry waivers are gone!

Edit: And we're not trading cap space/salary this game, because I have yet to fully understand how that will work in the NHL.

Looking to contend, don't ask about Ovechkin (obviously), Backstrom, Carlson, or Alzner. Will take offers for Green, but not looking to move him.

All prospects are OTB, including Kuznetsov and Forsberg.

Looking for top 6 wingers and solid depth players. PM me any offers, if I ignore it, it's because I think it's a lowball, nothing personal.

Also need an upgrade at goaltending.

In light of the waiver rule...

can accept one, maybe two large cap dumps. The larger the contract, the pricer it'll be.

Also... The Loui Eriksson is heating up with 3 suitors with legitimate offers. Get your offers in now and come in guns hot.

Lehtonen is all but traded.

A couple long time Star might be seeing their curtain calls.

Ray Whitney (77pts), Derek Roy (44pts), Michael Ryder (62pts) and Jaromir Jagr (54pts) are available for teams looking for Top-6 amongst their forwards.

What do I do about Tom Poti? He's on LTIR, so should I treat him the same as Pronger and Savard and not include him at all?

I think we decided that he's the same as Pronger/Savard.

Looking to re-tool this team. Everyone that isn't named Stamkos and Hedman are available in some context. Obviously St. Louis and Vinny will be hard to get.

Avs looking to do a bit of a rebuild, and we're also able to take on some cap hits (for a nice price of course). Only untouchables are Landeskog, Varlamov and E. Johnson.

The Colorado Avalanche have re-signed Ryan O'Reilly to a two year contract worth 3.75/year.

First thing I'm looking for is a legit top line winger. Alzner and Carlson may be available, depending on the deal.

Taking offers on both Roberto Luongo and Cory Schneider. One of them is likely to be dealt at some point during this game, but not necessarily at the deadline. It will take more to pry Cory Schneider away, but I'm open to going to that route.

Also looking for a solid 3rd line center and a top 6 forward. Most picks/prospects available.

Niemi available for those looking for a starter that costs less than some of the others on the block.

Thornton, Marleau, Boyle and Clowe all getting offers.

Listening to offers for:

Travis Zajac, Patrick Elias, David Clarkson, Dainus Zubrus, Marek Zidlicky and Andy Greene.

Young roster players, prospects, draft picks in return.

If your not sure what to offer, give me a list of available assets you're willing to move and we can talk from there. Preferably fowards players in return.

Will the buyouts be Amnasty/Compliance buyouts, or normal ones? (aka completely remove the cap hit, or the same cap rules as a regular buyout)

Have the following OTB:
Erat
Hornqvist
Gaustad
Rinne(for extreme overpayment)
Legwand
Fisher
Gill
Klein

Looking for picks/prospects

There are so many rebuilders/re-toolers though...if my players don't get interest, I might switch directions...

ON THE BLOCK

Prospal
Umberger
Letestu
Boll
MacKenzie

Wizniewski
Nikitin
Aucoin

Mason
McElhinney

Going for the full re-build, so looking for picks, prospects, young NHLers with upside, fill some holes (#1C, Top6er, #1/1b G. Can also talk about some of my core guys (Brassard, Tutyin, Umberger, etc...), but they won't go for scraps.

Also can eat one or two contracts for assets, as I don't really have anyone to buy-out atm

TRADE BLOCK

Rene Bourque (looking for futures)

Tomas Plekanec could also be available but only if a young proven top 6 forward is coming back as part of the trade.

Also listening to other offers as long as it makes sense.

PM!

I'm bored trade with me. Stepan Kreider Hagelin all available for an upgrade in the top 6. I would also like to shore up my defense and since I don't really "do" drafts I'll give up my 2nd.

Going to start seriously shopping Jussi Jokinen and Tuomo Ruutu. Only one will be traded, and I'm looking for a top-4 RH defenseman.
