It's probably not even a she haha. Internet trolls.

It would just be absolutely funny if Luongo is traded to a completely different team (not even the Panthers or the Leafs).

In all these Luongo threads, there always comes a point when Canuck fans are fighting with Panther/Leaf fans and vice versa.

Don't believe anything until you see Bob McKenzie tweet about it.

Yvon Pendault used to be with Sun Media (Journal de Montreal, I think) but not sure if he is still there. I think he works covering Bulldogs (Habs farm team). Not sure if he has tweeted it, as I don't have his Twitter, but the guy certainly has some credence, if he did say it (which I find unlikely).

I'd let Jennifer Benson touch me though, although I am guessing that isn't her, either.

Just to keep things interesting, the Marlies are playing the Bulldogs tonight.

I don't even think Burke acquires Lou, he has spent most of his tenure in toronto complaining about retirement contracts, I dont see stubborn Burke going against what he has fought so hard to eliminate in the past. Especially the consequences those contracts will give teams with the new CBA. I see Burke acquiring a goalie that hardly anybody has speculated will be traded.
Also said he wouldn't trade Schenn for 10 1st round picks unless JVR is worth 10 1st round picks.?

Yvon worked for RDS with the Habs as well. I doubt he'd say he talked to Burke and still stands by the trade.

Would be very Steve Burton of him

He said he didnt want to trade him but if someone came with an offer like that he would have to do it.
What he was saying with the 10 pick thing is anyone is available but he wasnt at all looking to trade Schenn. Also player values change, Schenn wasnt worth last summer what he was a few years ago.

Serious question Leaf fans if a main piece does comeback will you pull Eggo boxes over your heads again?

Mai pieces being Gardiner/Kulemin/Kadri/1st?

Totally different.

If I remember the context of the question it was a long the lines of "Are you shopping Schenn?" or "are you going to trade Schenn?"

What else do you think he would say?

"Yeah I'm going to ship that pylon out of this ****** city as fast as I can slam a scotch"

He has fought against those contracts since day one, I'm also assuming he was one of the more vocal voices in adding this cap-recapture rule to the new CBA. I don't think he is going to trade for a retirement contract unless the team eats some of the cap themselves. Though I also wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong and he traded for Luongo as in my opinion Luongo could single handedly carry us to the playoffs, which could ultimately save Burkes job.

Excited to see what happens in the upcoming days.

Having had Burke as a GM here as well you would be lucky to get any truth out of him. That's the truth. Having spoken to him on personal levels on countless occasions he would say one thing behind closed doors and one thing to the medi. I would take it with a grain of salt with whatever he has had to say. Ever.

So you're saying that Schenn isn't worth Luongo even when he was at an all time low? Because IMO Luongo is A better asset than JVR for the Leafs t this moment in time.

No doubt, no argument from here on that. He's said lots of things to the media and then comes back and does the exact opposite, or nothing at all.

Although him being one of the more vocal voices for the cap-recapture system was more or less behind closed doors. I just don't see the logic of him fighting for that rule so much, then weeks later going and trading for a retirement contract. I guess we are talking about Brian Burke where logic seems to be non-existent.
