In a bizarre twist of fate, the guy who's skate sliced Selanne's Achilles tendon (Don McSween, I believe) had his career ended a year later by a freak injury in a game vs. Winnipeg. Damaged a bunch of tendons in his arm, and I recall people saying it was an absolutely gruesome injury to witness.
This is the same thing I was talking about with a few people at work.

Selanne the year I moved to Winnipeg and bought season tickets.

I only seen the replay once of Karlson getting injured, then listening to sports radio in the morning couldn't believe how much the media was reaching to implicate Cooke as intending to injure.

Now that I've seen it a few more times, it does seem odd the way he kicks/directs his foot that caused the injure.

I thought the TSN guys this morning were bending over backwards to NOT implicate Cooke.

Toews vs. Thornton (Joe)

Not a great fight, but it's the type of fights I like. Not staged, but two skilled guys going at it and trying to motivate their team.

Haha. I was about to ask if that was a commercial for Dragon's Den or Blackberry. Turns out it's both!

Kevin Weekes: Tavares scores his 11th of the year. If it was a full season, it would be his 20th.

Pardon?

That's some wacky math KW.

Reverse prorated, I guess? Still a dumb thing to say. Also, lolAvalanche. There is no D in that game. They have literally let the Oil fire 54 shots on net.

That Oiler PP is something to behold. BOTH of the units really pass magically and if they get set up, watch out.
