Prosser should've been in for awhile now. Just somewhat surprised Scandella's the one they're taking out for him, though he did get caught flat-footed leading to Hansen's breakaway goal last night and hasn't particularly played well overall. Scandella/Falk/Stoner just can't make a competent 3rd pairing, no matter how its shaped, because they're all somewhat immobile and have puck movement problems, along with all preferring to play their natural left side. Prosser's a natural right D and his experience/success with Falk is noticeable. Its why Zidlicky was benched last year.

Just surprised they don't put Marco back with the guy he was shutting down opponents with at the end of last year. Not like the Gilbert/Stoner pairing was all that good last night either.

I like how Russo describes in his blog today the problem with the dump and chase that the Wild have to do and how the players lack of battle level in retreaving those pucks is causing the Wild to never get the puck and in generate offensive zone pressure. That is not a coaching problem, that is just a pure effort problem we need better of by a ton.

How many players on the Wild were playing during the lockout? I know Granlund was, and Coyle. And pretty sure Koivi was too. I'm hoping our guys just need to get in better game shape.

Spurgeon as well but he got injured there.

Thankfully he was ready to play the first 3 games here.

Kind of funny people rips on Matt Kassian when it's pretty much his agent/lawyer who did that..

Who's Koivi? Some sort of hybrid between Koivu and Kovalchuk? Man that would be a beastly player.

Exactly. Don't get me wrong. Koivu can kiss my bum for his comments last night. Don't know what he was smoking. But Parise as Captain wouldn't have changed the outcome. People act like because he doesn't have the "C" but wears the "A" that he isn't allowed to really speak up or be a leader. Other guys can tear the stalls off the walls and get the boys motivated if they want to. But it never happens with this club no matter the roster. I remember people wanting Cullen to have that big letter. Look how well of a motivator he turned out to be. Moving that damn letter wouldn't have made a single bit of difference last night. Problem is a lot more complicated and deeper than a patch on the jersey.

But again, what freaking game were you watching, Koivu?

I really don't think he believes what he publicly says, I really don't. Either that or he really is the the blind salesman.

I'm just wondering how many years we have to wait to find another player capable of getting his teammates' attention and lighting a fire under them. We've had one guy in the entire existence of this club.

Won't get any argument from me there, I'd kill for a Dino Ciccerelli type player on this team right now, maybe Dumba or Zucker will become that guy, who knows.

So, six of the next eight games are against divisional opponents. CAL, VAN, COL, DET, EDM, CAL, CAL, PHO. This is a very important stretch where we could *possibly* gain back most of our ground with VAN, pull away from EDM, and also hop back into the playoff race. This is actually incredible. I don't think I've seen so many divisional games in one month.

Spurgeon might be back for the game in VAN. Great news.

My guess is Scandella will be sent back to Houston if Spurgeon indeed plays.

Kassian will get waived first...there's no reason to keep him anymore. Who knows, maybe Scandella is Spurgeon's defensive partner when he comes back?

Its hard to get a read on Yeo/Wilson on what's their plan is with the D. It appears they're happy with Stoner's game considering Scandella's success there last season alongside Gilbert. I felt Prosser should've been in there for awhile with the need for a RD and once again his chemistry with Falk was there, They're a fine "sheltered" 3rd pairing together but split them up and they're fringe NHLers. I would like to see Scandella join Spurgeon, if that's our 3rd pair then there's significant improvement from almost a year ago when they were our 1st pair, as 22 year olds.

Dude I had one next to me that was banging. Was completely shy until she got 2-3 drinks in her. Her bf and I were ripping her the entire game about her phone. Even made a bet with her for the last 2 periods whoever pulled their phone out first would have to buy drinks at the bar later

And then two behind me that were more my age (28) that holy crap...if my dad wouldn't have been there I probably would of been making a pass
