Did I not say they would use the Avalanche game as a catalyst?

I don't think it's safe to say it on the main board but if Zucker sticks with the team and keeps playing like we all know, I think there's a chance he will be in the top 10 rookies of the season. It's still not too late.

You can call me crazy on that though...

Some more Power Rankings stuff.

19. Wild 7-6 -2 +4

It took until Sunday (the Wild’s eighth game of the month) to win a February game in regulation, a 3-2 decision against the Red Wings. The Wild (2.07 goals per game) remain second to last in scoring this season.
Feb 18 CBS Sports #18
Quote:
Sunday's win over Detroit was their first in regulation since Jan. 29, a stretch of eight games. Yet they're still right there in a tie for eighth.
Feb 18 NYPost #17
Quote:
17) Wild (7-6-2) (19)
The Wild have underachieved this season, sitting in tenth place in the Western Conference, but got a nice performance from rookie goalie Darcy Kuemper, who earned his first career win Sunday against the Red Wings.

Quote:
Minnesota Wild: The Wild are getting it together, rallying for a 3-2 win against the Red Wings to improve to 3-1-1 in their last five. Dany Heatley scored his first goal in nine games in the win. Coach Mike Yeo called it a step in the right direction, and in the cluttered Western Conference, they'll need to get steppin' in a hurry.
Feb 17 CLNSRadio #20
Quote:
20. Wild: Zach Parise leads the team in shots. They are still playing very, very tight games. Mike Yeo probably isn’t sitting on a cool seat because of their recent play. There does not seem to be a really defined style of play other than shoot the puck at the net as much as possible and be ready for a shootout if there is one. Lately, there have been many of them. With as much money that was spent on Parise and Suter the Wild are not scoring enough. They have a tight cap because of it. Look for them to move some dead weight and try and improve.
Still no TSN update. Not sure what's taking them so long.

I like how we did better than the previous week. Dropped in almost all the rankings.

Can't believe how many people are trying to say that Semin is far superior to Parise in that main board thread. There's also a certain Russian poster in there who's homerism is beyond maddening. He actually thinks that Semin is superior to Parise defensively.

They can have Semin, I guess we'll just have to settle with Parise.

As we all know, HF posters knowledge > NHL GM's knowledge

Yeo just stopped practice and lit into the team about forecheck. Very ticked off. #mnwild
Also, Koivu now sick and missing practice.

From Russo as well: Granlund centering Heatley and Parise in Koivu's absence.

Granlund centering the first line in practice with Koivu out ill. Obviously changes if Koivu can go; per Russo.

For the first time this year Yeo is putting the team through suicides.

Yeo mad brah?

But...its good to see him show some backbone here. I hope the team can respond well. ****ing better.

Edit: about main board threads. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but i just find it hilarious that now that Parise left NJ in the mirror, 99% of NJD fans posts concerning Parise is how he is invisible in the playoffs, he's not good, he doesnt deserve anything, and multiple fringe 1st liners are better than him. loooooooool

And a Chitown fan said Chicago has not one, not two, not three, but four players that are better than the apparently "regressed" Parise. Wow. okay, buddy.

Granlund centering the first line in Koivu's absence means he'll still be relegated to 4th line duty/press box next game...

I remember one time during football season we ran "graham crackers" throughout an entire practice. And it was all because of one little defiant, back-talking, whiney ****er. Saw a handful of my teammates puke.

Graham crackers made me yearn for suicides.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say 4th line wing or pressbox. Just send him down if you have no sensible use for him for now, Yeo.
