From Mckenzie's twitter: Young defencemen Marco Scandella and Jonas Brodin, both injured now, could be in MIN lineup with the next 2 to 3 weeks.

What?

Anxious is another word for excited... same thing. He who is the Rider of Raptors scoffs at the idea that he would be overly excited over such a simple thing as official practices and scrimmages.

What?
I've been trying to get that through to people for over a week now. That's why I've been against making a deal for a D-man... Brodin will be back within a week after the start of the season, and Scandella a week later.

some people still can't get it in their heads that Brodin was never going to start in Houston originally.

His status on the roster will depend greatly on his play in the one week audition before Scandella comes back. The team won't risk jettisoning Prosser unless it's clear both Scandella and Brodin have earned NHL spots. Obviously Scandella is already the incumbent and has likely already earned his spot... Brodin has to come in and show that he's beyond his Houston days already. Otherwise he will go back to Houston once Scandella is cleared.

Oh, and Mr. Leipold, I highly suggest sucking up by freezing ticket prices for another year or two. Make it happen.

To be honest I'd actually rather have Brodin down in Houston the rest of the year. If that Hall hit showed me anything it's that he's still got some learning to do when it comes to the NA style of game and I think he's got a little toughening up to do yet. I'd rather we go out and acquire a cheap bottom pairing d-man than throw Brodin into the mix right off the bat (or at least when he's back and healthy).

so what are you going to do for the opener. I heard someone talk about a protest of the Browns years ago where they got almost everyone in the upper deck to just leave their seats and hang out in the concourse at the start of the second half for the first play. sends a message, lets them know what could happen.

Interesting CBA change. Intermissions go from 17 to 18 minutes. Human bowling, etc. will go from 5 to 4 minutes to aid better ice cleaning.
