I've been wanting to trade Kuli for a young forward since last year, even mentioned it several times as something we could do to get more offense.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of his game, and I think it's realistic considering he's not even one of Tallon's draft picks, so who knows?
I hope it has nothing to do with Luongo, that's all. He's more valuable than that.
I know the boards will undervalue Luongo and say he is not worth a lot of players, but I have to be realistic and agree with you, Tallon knows Kulikov is a lot more valueable than Luongo, there is no way he trades him for just Luongo, however I do see a package deal happening with Kulikov and some picks for Luongo + a forward.

Seeing that in every interview Tallon gives he says he wants a more up tempo higher scoring team I hope he doesn't trade Kulikov for a freakin goalie. Given the choice I'd rather win 5-4 than 2-1.
Canuck fan: REALLY doubt we get a crack at Kuli for Luongo.
I know Gillis said an unconventional trade may be done. I know you guys need a big C to make an impact & preferably soon. Phi was mentioned in Luongo rumors but with Bryz I doubt they are in for Luongo.
What if something like this went down:
To PHI: Dmitry Kulikov
To FLA: Sean Couturier
Then we try to work out a basis of a Lu/Bjug-stud trade
like every proposal: Throw crap till it sticks or just let it slide

It's decent, I just hope Couturier lives up to the potential he is supposed to have.
kulikov isnt going anywhere. weaver, kuba and jovo arent long term players for us, we cn buy out jovo this off season (if he plays bad again this year i hope we do), kuba's here for only 2 and same w/ weaver. we have campbell, kulikov, and gudbranson, thats our core on D. kulikov got drafted high in the 1st round, came straight into the league, is only 21 and has 3yrs of nhl experience. has size and can use it, great skater, and has offensive upside. he played like an absolute stud last season before his injury, even if it didnt entirely show in the scoresheet. just one of those things where u have to watch him and person and be like "wow, he looks incredible". he's progressed every season and is gonna be an integral part of our defensive corps. only way im ok with a trade is if we get a bobby ryan, or a potential 1st line center. i actually proposed a potential kulikov to anaheim deal of kulikov+bergenheim for ryan, im sure they wouldnt mind a fowler-kulikov pairing. for ryan i pull the trigger, even for a couturier im still kinda hesitant to be honest.

This sounds way better than the crappy offers in which Lu was involved. And we can always need a good young forward

Not like I'm an expert at prospects but I was looking for us to pick Couturier at the draft. Obviously, instead we went with Huby and so naturally I'm going to compare these two throughout their careers.

I agree. I'd like to hold on to Kuli. Tallon said he's on top of this situation so I'm trusting him.
