I would be extremely upset if Jovo wasn't part of the deal. (Sry Jovo, might be KHL time for ya...)
Same here.
I would be upset if Kulikov was in such a deal though.
Kulikov is scaring me and if he still holds high value I say let Philly have at him. The Panthers have been so quiet on the topic but my gut feeling says Russian flight risk.
Mike Mottau is about to sign with the Leafs, apparently they will announce it after midnight.
Also, after midnight is officially when teams can start announcing signings/re-signings and trades. Let's hope Kuli gets done quickly and we can all focus on hockey.

Negotiations always subject to change on moment's notice, but sense is RFAs Benn (DAL), Subban (MTL), Kulikov (FLA) not close at this point.
I think Kulikov is going to keep improving and end up a lot like Gonchar. He's got tons of skill. I really would prefer to keep him over guds if I had to choose one. This is bad news for us IMO unless we can win a trade.

Just to help alleviate any worries(if there were), I highly doubt Kulikov would be involved in a Luongo deal. He's a Left D, a position we are stacked at, and he's Russian, and Gillis has been avoiding Russian players like the plague in his time here(we don't have a single Russian player or prospect in our system). I just don't see how it makes sense for either side, even if Kulikov is holding out from signing a contract.

Very interesting info about not having a single Russian player in the organization.
I personally am not worried about Kuli to Vancouver. However, I'm really curious to see what happens next. Really hoping Tallon gets a deal done and gets Kuli locked up for at least 4 years.
tbh, it wouldnt be the end of the world if he stays in the khl for this season.. We have many players on that position and perhaps that would mean they'd get to try out their wings. (robak, petrovic)
ofc id be psyched if he got signed too, but im not at all worried that we cant replace his production this season with what we got
Canuck fan: REALLY doubt we get a crack at Kuli for Luongo.
I know Gillis said an unconventional trade may be done. I know you guys need a big C to make an impact & preferably soon. Phi was mentioned in Luongo rumors but with Bryz I doubt they are in for Luongo.
What if something like this went down:
To PHI: Dmitry Kulikov
To FLA: Sean Couturier
Then we try to work out a basis of a Lu/Bjug-stud trade
like every proposal: Throw crap till it sticks or just let it slide
Avs fan coming in peace! If it were to come to both our teams not being able to sign our RFAs how would you guys feel about a swap between ROR and Kuli avs would probably have to add a sweetener. I see ROR as a perfect center for huberdeau if he moves to the wing. Acting as a 1a/1b with weiss until the rest of your kids are ready.
What makes me think he wont be going is that Van doesn't need any d-men. They have Edler, Garrison, Bieska, and Hamius. I guess it's better to have Kulikov playing or you could flip him somewhere else than having Roberto ride the pine.
Supposedly Van is having a hard time locking up Edler, and looking for a Dman to replace him...
Pure speculation obviously, but if we sent Kuli to Vancouver, maybe Edler+ would be coming back our way.
