Everyone please check to see that you've enabled your CPUs. Anyone without their CPU enabled at the end of this block will lose the right to play another team's CPU for the two blocks that follow.

Matt (BrownManPower, Leafs) is like a completely different player in this league versus Bluth, 2 of my 3 losses so far this season have been at his hand.

Getting a few inquires about advancing early today.

Who has games left?

EDIT: Looks like this next advance will be a triple advance.

- Nov. 14-Nov. 27 is the normal sim window.
- Nov. 28-31 would be the next playable window, but that's dumb, so we'll just sim that too.

That should put us on track to have the last window of the year be playable, if I recall correctly.

As requested, the following teams have used their backup goaltender less than 3 times at the one-quarter mark of the season. This is only a preliminary list (trades make this a bit more confusing, if there's an obvious mistake, just disregard the warning):

Anaheim (2 GP)
Boston (2 GP)
Chicago (1 GP)
Colorado (2 GP)
Dallas (1 GP)* (Bachman was dealt)
Montreal (2 GP)
NY Rangers (2 GP)
Nashville (1 GP)
St. Louis (2 GP)
Toronto (2 GP)
Vancouver (0 GP)

Additionally, PIT and PHI have already fulfilled the rule by virtue of trading a starting goaltender with at least 15 GP)

Reminder: no goaltender may participate in more than 72 games, regardless of whether then in the season they were acquired. You don't have to spread the starts out, but it is better to get the backups in earlier in the season, so there is no issue later on.

There has been a lot of discussion about changing the gameplay settings. We are currently on "All Star / Normal"--the same settings used for Online Versus Play.

I would strong oppose any move to default because of the fatigue factor--we'll have stars playing 45:00 minutes a game. That's the biggest difference between default and current--which otherwise are quite similar. That said, democracy rules. If a majority want default, we will do it. If a plurality want default, but we have a big number of non-voters, we'll probably go to current.

Please indicate your preference with a simple reply: :team prefers ____.

We will tally the votes on Tuesday before the advance, and adjust accordingly.
