With Nash out of Columbus (thank god) they will be a better TEAM. Last night they showed it.

Apparently Nino wants off the Isle. What would Shero have to do to bring him into the fold if the reports are true.

The Isles won't trade him within the division.

I don't see them trading him anywhere...not this year at least. You don't do a knee-jerk reaction trade to a 20 year-old being upset he's in the minors.

Yeah I haven't either. I know it had to happen, and I fully understand why, and I'm very happy with what we got back, but man it's gonna be weird seeing him in another jersey.

Also how crazy is it that it's that hard to see a 24-yr old in another uniform. Really highlights how amazing this young core and their early success has been for the Pens that they have had a handful of guys that have had so much success and such an impact on the franchise by 25 that it's already a massive loss to see them somewhere else.

Tlusty and LaRose are on Staal's wing? He had better linemates in Pitt.

ROFL . . . so much for centering big brother.

BTW, pretty sure those were Sutter's linemates when he had that role.

For those wondering, Staal's first game in red wasn't good lol. He saw 17 minutes of TIO and was a -2, while Semin saw 23 lol.

He also wasn't being used as much on the PK, which is surprising to me.

One thing that's kind of funny about the Carolina crowd, they ooh and aah at every shot.

I've often thought if Carolina would be interested in trading for TK

so he's been given Sutter's old linemates, that sucks. Is Semin playing with Eric? and then Jokinen - Ruutu - Skinner is the other line?

Would never happen. Nba follows same pattern and teams rarely change spots( besides stern helping New Orleans get the #1 pick , like Gary did with us)

Jordan has not been noticeable except for one decent shift tonight.

Bowman - E. Staal - Semin
Tlusty - J. Staal - LaRose
Jokinen - Skinner - Dwyer

Ruutu isn't playing.

Dwyer has been out there for a few shifts with Staal the last 5 minutes or so.

that sucks for Jordan, I assume Ruutu's going to slot in on the Skinner - Jokinen line when he gets back to. So Jordan's still a 3rd line centre but now he's got average at best 3rd liners for wingers instead of the good 3rd liners he played with here.

Give him another week and he`ll wish for TK back.

I think Tlusty was with Eric most of last year. Sutter def had Dwyer, but no idea who else. Brent maybe? Really not sure why they are spreading the Staal, Staal, Skinner wealth out over 3 lines though.#

The real issue though is: Does Rutherford call that a defense? NYI grabbed better guys than Corvo and Sanguetti (sp?) of waivers.

Evander Kane scores a banked shot on the PP for Winnipeg. 1-1.
