Edler is a great signing for that cap hit. Very odd timing to me considering they are really in trouble cap wise if they don't get rid of Luongo. Teams know that now too, Van just lost a ton of bargaining power in this situation.

And if Toronto and/or Florida struggle early on, pressure will be on them to make a trade. Ill be interested to hear what Luongo goes for.

They needed to sign him no matter what. Timing didn't matter. That is a great signing, btw.

Edler signed for a million less than I thought he would have.

Phenomenal signing by Vancouver. Edler is definitely worth $6 million a year.

Tarasenko gets behind the defense and scores vs. Detroit, 1st goal of his career. (cherry picking a bit, takes a long stretch pass from his dmen who was almost at his own goal line). The kid showed hands and speed.

St. Louis has the potential to be a real fun watch this season, Backes, Oshie, Pietrangelo, young guys like Schwartz and Tarasenko.

Strange seeing Jordan on another team, just picked up a minus. Florida up 4-0 early 2nd. Ward chased to the dressing room.

OV just called for a terrible dive.

Staal is having a rough debut, well the team is anyway.

The rookies look really good.

Wings look miserable through 1. Murph trying to sunshine pump at intermission.

Damn, I'm happy the NHL is back. Tons of games on tonight.

Haha, I got the St. Louis feed. Oh yeah, they are getting dominated on territorial play.

Loving all the options with the free center ice preview.
