Selanne taps in a nice pass to make it a 6-2 Anaheim lead.

Luongo gives up his first of more to come. Schneider, as previously said, gave up five.

But even when Kesler and Booth return, those two are badly overrated.

Absolutely.

Their defense looks like ****, and nobody is getting healthy back there.

Selanne scores. Horrible defensive breakdown. 7 goals for the Ducks. Luongo gives up his second. Loving every minute of this.

embarrassing loss for the canucks to start the season! i can only imagine how distracting the goalie situation will be to the team.

I guess Perry and Getzlaf will each have their agent in Anaheim this week to talk contract with Murray.

I know the Blues are our biggest competition for the division, but it's still glorious to see Detroit get its ass kicked!

All fans received free scarves, and the Canucks gave away game-worn jerseys. Adults were offered one free beer per person. The team also held a draw for a team road trip giveaway on the Canucks' chartered airplane with players and offered a 50 percent discount on all team merchandise.
Would be so cool to win a trip like that with the Hawks. Will give Vancouver credit for doing that, very cool idea.

Don't really know where else to put something like this, but I got a decent laugh out of it.

Blues could go all the way if they get the same goaltending they got last year.

It will be interesting to see if Hitch can resurrect the career of Redden. Haven't seen him play in years and apparently he's pretty slow afoot these days but I think it would have been a worthwhile (depth) pickup for us for under $ 1 M.

Not sure where to put this, but I know for sure the Hawks get Elliott on Tuesday. That's what their beat writer said.

Vanek made a great move on Bryz there, and Bryz took the bait. 2-2 now.

That fight was pretty good too. Stafford took a few good shots from Hartnell but then knocked him down. Good fight.
