*Mikko will be a PPG player this year
*Heatley rebounds by tying last years goal total in 48 games
*Granland will score at a 0.75 ppg clip with 12g and 24a

Hey, Eero Elo has been totally tearing up the FEL this year, scoring 5 points in 23 games. Are you sure that's not too much to ask?

You shouldn't take credit for other people's work, you know. And your pessimism stopped being funny about, let's see, 8 months ago. Now you're just being obnoxious.

The guy made an obvious joke. Either lol it out or shake your head on it. Cat scanning someone's sense of humour is always just anal, y'know.

Point predictions:
Parise: 19 + 27
Koivu: 16 + 31
Heater: 25 + 11
Granny: 11 + 37 (yea baby )
Seto: 15 + 15

Koivu 10G 45A- 55 points
Parise 15G 30A- 45 points
Heatley 16G 15A- 31 points
Granlund 7G 18A- 25 points
Setoguchi 15G 12A- 27 points
Suter 3G 22A- 25 points

I think 35-> points for Granlund is a bit too much.

Last year that pace would have put him around third in the NHL in points with Giroux and behind Malkin and Stamkos. He's a great player but I don't think he's that kind of scorer. I sure hope he proves me wrong though.

Assuming none of these guys are injured, Wild finish 6th in the west with 29 wins.

Parise 21-25 46pts
Koivu 14-29 43pts
Heatley 29-11 40pts
Granlund 8-26 34pts
Setoguchi 21-11 32pts
Cullen 11-14 25pts
Brodziak 16-13 29pts
Clutterbuck 11-8 19pts (top3 in hits)

Suter 3-26 29pts
Spurgeron 6-26 32pts (breakout year)
Stoner 4-15 19pts (breakout year)
Gilbert 2-19 21pts

Backstrom 2.6gaa 92%svp, 34gp: 21-13 record
Harding 2.9gaa 90%sv, 14gp: 8-6 record

That would depend on whether they want to try to get another significant veteran D-man next summer.

I'm not necessarily advocating buying out Heater this summer, but with all the kids at forward knocking on the door it has to be in the mix of consideration. . .if his performance slide continues, and there's a signficant piece out there to be added on the blue line.

He'd actually be a cheap buy-out, as his actual salary at this point is significantly lower than his cap-hit and he'd only have one year left on his deal anyway. Like $1.67M for two years in actual money.

Doubt the Wild would even have to buy out Heater if we ever crossed that bridge. We're not talking about Scott Gomez here people, Heatley can still play hockey. I'm sure there's a few teams with lots of cap space that wouldn't mind picking him up. Not sure what the current situation with his NTC is, but we could easily get an asset or two for him rather than buy him out and get nothing.

$14 mil incap space,we can afford a mid upper tier defenseman without a buyout.

You don't have a starting goalie, Cal Clutterbuck, and four other players in that number either, aside from the hypothetical $3-5M D-man.

Josh Harding, Cal gets traded, and the youth movement continues.
