Definitely am not watching the post game with all the Ray Lewis drama queen stuff but congrats to their team.

I don't have a problem with the ref not calling that hold either. You don't want to decide the game in that situation. You'd probably have to full blown tackle somebody to the ground to get penalized there.

The 49ers really have no one to blame but themselves. They fell too far behind. They were clearly unprepared for the blitz on the two point conversion that they didn't convert and their play calling down around the goal line at the end was terrible.

That's a double-edge sword there...since by not calling it you decided the game as well.

Ideally both players get flagged and the play is re-done. Having a play that gets called if it happens 2 minutes into the game go uncalled because there's 2 minutes left is pathetic.

Almost as infuriating, though of lesser consequence - the Ravens hold in the endzone didn't matter. It's an automatic safety, but the time still runs off until the play is actually dead. No wonder every Raven was holding on for dear life there, they had literally nothing to lose.

The 49ers do deserve the brunt of the blame, though. I missed the first ~40 minutes of the game so I can't comment on things in-depth...but to be trailing a Super Bowl by 22 points at some point means you didn't play a full game. The Ravens didn't either, but they obviously played closer to one.

Also some of that play calling at the end...Arians-level bad.

I'm not sure which was a worse Super Bowl....this one or Super Bowl XL. Yes, we won it, but it was really bad football game. This one ranked up next to it. Terrible execution on both sides & basically Baltimore ran the clock out. Lousy no hold call in the endzone, but I guess they weren't calling it unless Crabtree was tackled.

seems legit. the great being must've been tinkering with the Nicene Creed while the Niners racked up five super bowls.

I love Neil deGrasse Tyson's tweet right before the game ended. I won't post it here because it's a no fly zone subject of discussion here...but few things piss me off more than players thanking God for winning a ****ing sporting event.

Dennis Dixon now has more Super Bowl rings than Dan Marino.

Meh. There are plenty of clipboard holders, kickers and punters that have not one but multiple super bowl rings. Not like it really matters.

Yeah I love how that story got swept under the rug around here, though it's possible I missed it. At the same time I listen to The Fan and Madden on the way to and from work and I didn't hear anything about it.

Hey guys, I need help with something to settle a bet.

Lemieux scored a goal between his legs, which team did he score it against and does anyone know where I can find a video for it?

I thought it was against the Canucks, my buddy thinks it never happened (scoring with his stick between his legs).

A bottle of blue label is on the line.

Yeah I think that was more a deflection. When he said Canucks I thought of the one he came down to the right of Kirk McLean I think, with a defenseman on him and put his stick between his legs and shot it over his shoulder. McLean got a piece if it but it still went up and over

The latter, that's the one.

I know the goal you're talking about, and it was definitely against the Canucks...but I can't find any video evidence of it...

You don't forget a goal like that...though apparently everyone who's ever compiled a between the legs or Lemieux highlight reel on YouTube has.

It's here. About 5.20

Also might be the only existing video evidence Joe Dziedzic was a Penguin.
