You would think they'd have some sort of railing system so that if it went off track it would hit and stop.

You can do this in the United States as well. The company ZORB has locations in Pigeon Forge, TN and Amesbury, MA. There also seems to be one run by a different company in Wisconsin Dells, WI. As with bungee jumping, skydiving or any other sort of adventure attraction, it is as safe as the operators make it.
