Lol, inside the NBA doubled that. 0.4 rating is pretty damn terrible but so is the matchup.

From today's Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:
"The five Penguins' Round 1 games on Root Sports Pittsburgh posted an average Nielsen rating of 21.3, or about 665,600 local viewers per contest, Nielsen Media Research confirmed. It was the highest-rated first round in the cable network's history."

If by "local" they mean the 2.6 million or so population of the Pittsburgh tri-state area, then approximately 25% of the population were watching the games. It is possible, however, that Root Sports defines "local" as a larger region, such as all of Western Pennsylvania.

I'm not expecting big national ratings for PIT-OTT.

Local is just the area, the MSA.

Hey IU,

How have the Red Sox on TV been doing during the Bruins playoffs so far?

Pens/Sens did 1.1 million for NBCSN. Which is very good.

Kings/Sharks did like 650,000 for a 10 pm et start. Not bad.

LOL. Monday Night RAW more than tripled that terrible Inside The NBA rating.

A 0.8 is pretty damn terrible but so is Inside The NBA.

Thanks. Lower than one of the Vancouver games but the Warriors were playing on the same night. Did pretty well nationally - over 5m viewers.

I am curious if the Hawks spiked at 9 PM when the Bulls ended.

My expectation for game 1 is 1.5 for Det/Chicago. I think that'll be pretty close. I Chicago would get 10. Though it'll be interesting for local ratings once the Knicks and now that the Bulls are gone. What they'll look like for New York and Chicago.

Game 1 drew a 10.5 in Detroit, 8.1 in Chicago. Chicago grew much stronger after the Bulls game ended, of course.

Really funny seeing Phoenix in the top 5. On the surface someone less knowledgeable could say "OH LOOK, HOCKEY IS GROWING DOWN THERE!"

But that place is Chicago/Detroit South.

And didn't Golden State play during the game as well?

(I think I did that right)
Isn't number of TV households (which is 114,770,000 in the US). Divide that by 100 and one ratings point would be 1,147,700, multiply that by 1.2 and you get 1,376,400.
