Albany River Rats Vs. Bridgeport Sound Tigers

I didn't get a chance to do this live. So I'm going off the boxscore here.

Bridgeport 4
Albany 3 (OT loss)

Period 1
Bridgeport - Rob Collins (Brendan Yarema, Richard Seeley) 0:34
Albany - Tuomas Pihlman (Cam Janssen) 1:52
Albany - Ken Magowan (Pascal Rheaume, Zach Parise) 19:19

Period 2
Bridgeport - Rob Collins (Justin Papineau, Jody Robinson) 7:01
Bridgeport - Justin Papineau (powerplay) (Chris Campoli) 19:14

Period 3
Albany - Dean McAmmond (powerplay) (Ken Magowan, Zach Parise) 9:19

Bridgeport - Brendan Yarema (Cole Jarrett, Chris Campoli) 4:02

Your goaltenders were: Deiter Kochan (Bridgeport) and Scott Clemmenssen (Albany)

Rats got outshot heavily in the 2nd period AGAIN, this time Bridgeport actually scored twice on their 20 shots (Rats had 6).

Notes: Zach Parise Watch: Parise had 2 assists and 4 penalty minutes. Adrian Foster did NOT play. Ken Magowan DID play and apparantly he's making the case that he really wants to be in Albany by scoring a goal and assisting on another. Yes, that's Tuomas "The Next Jay Pandolfo" Pihlman with a goal you see there.

for whatever reason the Rats have a lot of trouble playing the second period in the past few games: only 2 shots in the second against Binghamton, and 6 shots in the second tonight.

here's mike's recap from the AHL board:

for tonight's game, Ftorek finally broke up the dynamic duo of Murphy and Rheaume. this gave Magowan the chance to get some prime icetime with the first line (and also quite a bit of powerplay time), and Kenny the Shark responded with a goal and an assist.

I believe the lines for the majority of the game were:

Also worth mentioning: Zach has 10 points (1g, 9a) in his last 4 games!

Thanks for reminding me, I forgot all about him. Something (I can't remember anything in specific) happened to him in the second period on Friday; he never came back out for the third. He didn't play today either, and the Rats lost 3-0 to Hershey.

As for Foster...I have no idea.

Wow, Magowan is amazing. He's rattled off a lot of points.
