Is what I'd probably run. Garrison I don't think pairs with Edler and Luongo is probably gone by then.
Our second line is soft, inconsistent, and irresponsible defensively. Ouch.

After the Sedins and Burrows up front it's tough to have confidence in ANY other line scoring.

Whatever happened to our interest in Tom Kostopoulos? He would actually be useful right now.

Either there wasn't as much interest in him as was first reported, or he could be seeking an actual contract and not just a tryout contract.

Maybe Weise can channel his Denmark Gretzky ways?

Or his AHL ways.

Kid could be a 20/20 3rd liner in the next few years.

There was reported interest on July 1st (and again last week), but I guess nothing came of it. I would have been happy with a camp invite, but it sounds like Weise has come in great shape. Might leave a guy like Kostopolous as a bit redundant.

49 points in 19 games; I think we found our second-line winger next to Kesler!

This is why the Luongo deal needs to get done soon. In a 48 game season there is NO room for a slow start and this team looks like it will be hard pressed to score more than twice a game.

We need offensive reinforcements as a return in that deal. Our scoring depth has KILLED us in our last 2 playoff series (Boston & LA)

Could you also put up 50 points in 70 games in the AHL?

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Raymond-Ebbett-Booth
Higgins-Malhotra-Hansen
Weise-Lapierre-Kassian

Hamhuis-Bieksa
Edler-Garrison
Ballard-Tanev

Luongo
Schneider

I think Malhotra will surprise most of you. I think a full offseason+ will be huge for him. He has something to prove. He admittedly came back too early last season and never recovered.

Dear god I hope so. He's an amazing guy and his teammates seem to love him, but MAN do we need him to be useful as a player on the ice.

If he struggles again this season like last...he may need to be relegated to the press box. Sad to say, but may need to be done.

i just hope he return to his selke level defensive play. i have never count on him for offense, but he need to at least be solid defensively and free up kesler more. goals are going to be hard to come by with this line up

Rick ball was on team 1040 about an hour ago and said he will be doing a lot more western CBC games (vancouver, edmonton, calgary) including this saturday vs the ducks. HIs colour guy will be kelly hrudy.

Our forward lines are looking pretty ugly. All the pressure will fall on the top line for offense.

That is awesome. Ball/Hrudey as a combo is great, and light years better than Lee. I don't mind Weekes, but Hrudey is on a different level.

And Canucks lose to Nashville. Despite Nashville losing Suter

They also lost Radulov and A. Kostitsyn.

Edmonton could make it into the playoffs IF J. Schultz plays great (like he did in the AHL) and if Dubnyk steps up his game.
But I don't see them making it past the 1st round, too much inexperience.
