Yeah why not. Don't know why you guys would do that though unless you felt bad about taking Brayden Schenn off our hands.

Also said Carter was not getting traded. JVR too. Carchidi just really doesn't know what he is talking about sometimes.

Most times actually.

When he was mentioning the Weber Offersheet's compensation I had to correct him about the Money over 5 years calculation. He DM'd me saying I was wrong and asked for a source for how the NHL does it.

Late word from a GM: Vancouver's asking price for Luongo considered too high around league. Not enough leverage to ask what they are

Boom.

It seems to be the word of at least 3 GMs

Burke
Holmgren
The unnamed GM

So, what your saying is the 3 "main" candidates for Luongo all think he isn't worth what Gillis is asking?

This is brand new information.

didnt think so.

It's been out there for a while that Gillis is holding out and wants a hockey deal. I'm sure your GM is aware of that.
Shoes? You chose high end shoes for your analogy? Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to leave immediately.

Carchidi said no offer for Weber then the panotch said the deal wouldn't work because of the dry island scandal controversy.

exactly my point. the 3 GM's are the buyers who are saying price is way too high. isnt that almost expected in any trade?

NOBODY WANTS THAT CONTRACT.
Now that Burke is gone - you're right. Pulling Burke out of the mix for Luongo just made Vancouver's possible return for him way less stupid.

No, it's not.

It's expected when a glorified backup is making almsot 50m over the next 10 years and the GM wants a kings ransom.

It's expected when the price is too high.

And, you make the mistake again of assuming we are buyers...more like interested in a bargain.

The asking price for Loungo will drop dramatically in the next few days.

It's not a sellers market for goaltenders

not really trying to force Luo down your throats. Just curious and excited that hockey's back.

With that being said, I wouldn't be comfortable with Bryz in net if I was a Flyers fan. He's an upgrade in net and given how flashy Holmgren is I wouldn't say it's out of the realm of possibility for him to go out and make another splash to get the season started.

You don't go out and make a splash that makes your goalie tandem making about 11 million a year.

If he had a realistic contract...but he doesn't and thats all that matters. We already have our own problem contracts. And we need a D man, not a G.

Well, I think Luongo is a better goaltender than Bryz, but I'd rather have the latter on the team even if we're worse off because of it. So hopefully nothing materializes here.

So just B Schenn then, not B Schenn and Couturier?

let me remind you that Holmgren can ask Gillis to eat up half of Luo's contract with the new CBA and all and that can possibly raise the price

What's the deal with Bryz anyway, is he staying in Russia or is he expected to show up to camp? I would assume he'd be in Philly given the amount of money he's paid, but he seems to really like the homelife in mother Russia.
