Tim Connolly not on the ice at Leafs practice. It's expected Connolly will be placed on waivers. More opportunity for players in system.

Make sure to wrap that glass doll in bubble wrap before shipping him out.

Much of what he said, I said at the time of his signing and got laughed it (Thats not unusual HAHA).

Toughness breeds toughness. It's contagious. Ott will be even more of a PIA. Kaleta, I can't even imagine. Guys play bigger when you have a John Scott at the end of the bench. May not create more wins, but it does create more confidence.

Scott sounds like a good guy. I will say this though, I have my doubts about him doing this every night. Takes a special person to do this job. Scott does not like being punched. He's not used to it. He fights in such a non defensive stance I can see him getting tagged good by one of these guys. It will only take one person to knock Scott down, to make him even more irrelevant then he already is.

Erskine, Shelley, Rupp, Carkner, MacIntyre, Chara, Lucic, Thornton, Orr (maybe), Peluso, Westgarth (Scott has handled him easily thus far)... Not going to be easy for Big John.

He should be excited, it's the only way he can make a case for icetime.

Eastern Conference injury update from Jo Innes (she writes great stuff about injuries and exactly what they are and how they heal) at Backhand Shelf:

Quote:
Adam McQuaid D – Scary frigging surgery omg: Add this guy to the badass list. McQuaid’s issue is enough for an entire post of its own. He had thoracic outlet syndrome, which is a fancy way of saying something was pressing on the blood vessels and nerves that run down your neck and into your torso. He ended up with a blood clot near his shoulder that had to be surgically removed, then underwent another procedure to keep it from happening again. They took out his top rib (YES) and part of a muscle in his neck (YOU HEARD ME). The nerves that run your arm go through there, so the rehab to get back to baseline is significant. Originally projected to be back at the beginning of May, he’s no longer on blood thinners and has been cleared to play. He should start on Saturday but I thought he was worth mentioning because holy crap.

I am a Bruins fan always will be but it would be splendid if the Jets sucked this year due to the top 5 players in the coming draft, they always will be my 2nd team and face it there going to the west conference soon. They lack depth and have some promise in Kane,Bogosian, Enstrom and Yes Wheels and Scheiffle along with Trouba and Little oh and yes 3 count them 2nd rd picks this next draft . Ps can Boston be nice and lend the Jets there scouts

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the Jets only have 2 2nd round picks in the 2013 Draft. They have their own 2nd round pick plus Chicago's 2nd rounder that they received in the Johnny Oduya trade. They do have an extra 3rd round pick in the 2013 Draft which also comes from Chicago in the Oduya deal.

You can check out future Jet draft picks here: http://www.prosportstransactions.com...uture/Jets.htm
