Do you mean the new rules of retaining salary/cap? Because if you really mean buy out, please, by any means, buy him out instead of trading him.

I think Anderson55 meant the rule of retaining salary . Malone at $2M is more valuable than Malone at $4M and if the Bolts are taking $2M of his cap, they will want more value in return.
