Opening Of Free Agent Signing Period?

Has it been determined yet when teams will be allowed to start signing free agents and making trades? I heard yesterday that Sunday was the day but that sounds silly as camps open that day - you'd think they would want to have at least a day or two to make moves before opening camp.

If the specific day has been determined, is there any indication that any of the networks are running specials like they do on trade deadline day or the first day of free agency (this is primarily for Canadians as I doubt any US networks ever do this)?

For those of us who love free agency and trade deadline day this could be a fun week that would be even better if the networks were doing blanket coverage like they normally do.

I would assume it would be similar to the release of the schedule. As soon as the players ratify the CBA this weekend, the schedule will be released - so why not the opening of UFA signings as well?

I'm probably wrong but that's my opinion.

Regardless of when they're actually allowed to, I feel like much of the trade action wouldn't get finalized until players started going through physicals (Sunday, I'd presume). Just for the sake of convenience.
