Buffalo-Montreal

To Montreal:

Luke Adam

To Buffalo:

Louis LeBlanc

Am I going to get ripped for trading Montreal's chosen one?

While it's probably good value wise, Montreal has no need for more bottom 6 players at this time. It would benefit them much more to keep Louis and let him season in the AHL.

If it doesn't work out it's not that big of a deal, they're used to first round picks busting!

Montreal says "yes". Buffalo says "no". You will not get ripped by me, but I am not francophone...

Adam could play out the rest of the season in the AHL and challenge for a top 9 role next season. He doesn't have to be bottom six this year.

It would be a trade that the teams made just for the sake of it then. Don't really see the benefit to it, but wouldn't be upset if it happened.

I'd do it, Adam could use a change in Scenery/Coaching.

Im all for moving Adam, although I wish it would be in a package for a big time winger

Luke isn't a bottom 6 player -- he's completely out of place as he's not overly physical nor sound defensively.

He's pretty much a top 6 player, or he's in the AHL.

To the deal, I'd do it from a Sabres POV.

I don't think many in Habdom look at Leblanc as a "chosen one"? Not sure where that comes from. We have been hoping he'd fit in as a versatile 2nd/3rd line guy, and up until his ankle injury this year, he seemed to be fulfilling that promise quite nicely. I like Adam, though. I think I'd pass, I haven't given up on Leblanc nor do I want to read too much into his current mini-struggles. It's a fair/good offer for the Habs, but I would just like to stick it out a bit longer with Leblanc and see him turn the corner... he's got another year to do it in the minors if needed, which Adam doesn't, for example...

I'd like to see a bit more of Leblanc, but if it were to happen I wouldn't be angry at it.

Leblanc can play in the bottom 6.
