I think the CBJ will hold on to those picks for as long as possible as this draft becomes even more hyped

CBJ are actually pretty deep with dmen and that is what EDM could use.

I know that Howson has always like Hemsky and Hemsky has proven to be healthy by the amount of games that he has played at the end of last year and this year over seas.

Hemsky would give CBJ a winger that has major skill and is only 28.

Which dman would CBJ give up for him?
You of all people should know, never bring up Hemsky's name up on the HF, because the trolls will rip him apart. The Oilers need a big 2nd line C right now, more then they need a D.

Best let Hemsky play and prove he can play. If he can prove he can stay healthy, his value will sky rocket.

How about Oilers fans stop putting Yakupov in their proposals?

I would rather have Johansen personally.

Yakupov is certainly the better player.

Not a bad trade in a fantasy setting or in a vacuum. Unfortunately Howson made it clear that if Yakupov dropped to #2 he would trade the #2 pick as opposed to drafting Yak. So I don't see Howson going out of his way to acquire the kid.

Why, wasn't he drafted by the Oilers, because he was the best player, not because the Oilers needed him. If he can get a big C or a top 2 D for the Oilers, I'm all for it. Right now Yakupov is compounding the problem with the lack of size in the Oilers top 6, and one has to be traded and the most logical one right now is Yakupov.

Agreed. And if he's healthy enough to return to his former near-PPG self, then it's gonna be very tough to pry him from Oiler hands.

CLB will hold onto their picks, but I would imagine that EDM would be very interested in Nikitin.
Maybe for Hemsky with a lower pick/Prospect?

^actually, Columbus needs to keep it's younger players and picks and do what the Oil are doing...rebuld. with the young guys you already have, your prospects and three 1st rounders this coming draft...stay the course!
