Steve Ott tweeted this picture of the Sabres store this morning, they are doing 50% off all merchandise. Apparently the lines are crazy. They will be doing this 50% off deal up until the Sabres first game.

Preds for STH, up to 4 tickets per game for any game 1/2 price. It appears it is for as many games as you want.

Also, they held a select number of tickets for those who bought single game tix before the lockout. They emailed out a password for access to those tickets this morning.
The Hawks will have at least a couple red carpet entrances where the players can high five the fans behind the velvet ropes if they choose to. I can see maybe lowering their take home from trying to sell tickets 2% so they can keep bilking money.

Wait, you think McDough is gonna give merch or tickets a discount? Nah, isnt happening. Theres very little interest in the Hawks outside of the people who actually go to the games, he isnt gonna get rid of money that easy.

The new boss, same as the old one.

The Devils are permitting their season ticket holders to be able to purchase extra seats at 50% off the box office price, 24 hours before tickets go on sale to the public.

Canucks are doing more than they need to in a market like this so I'm impressed but they are offering:

-Concession hot dogs, popcorn, nachos and soft drinks priced at -$1.00 for first 3 games.
-50% off all team store locations for the first three home games.
-Open practice and scrimmages
-A jersey off the backs the first game(i guess that will be twice this season since they usually do that at the end) where fans are chosen by random draw and escorted to meet the players on-ice at the conclusion of the game and receive game-worn sweaters signed by their favourite players.
-Allowing a fan to drop the puck opening night
-Canucks for Kids Fund 50/50 prize draw will include a carryover of $70,000 in unclaimed funds added to the total jackpot for the home opening game
-Launch of the My First Game program where the club hosts a fan that has never been to a Canucks game and delivers a special welcome to Rogers Arena.
-Further surprises, jerseys, tickets, suite giveaways and special prizing will be awarded throughout the weekend including the chance for one lucky fan to participate in the Budweiser Shoot to Win for $100,000 on opening night

The Kings raised top level ticket prices by more than 4 times for the first home game (banner raising). Does a kick in the groin count as a giveaway?

Heard the Rangers were going to give away t-shirts the first home game and have former Rangers welcoming the fans at the gates. Sounds like it would just slow everything down though.

Here's an update on the Devils.
Allowing season ticket holders to purchase additional seats to games at a discount... which does nothing for casual fans.

Other than that, no merch sales, no incentives, practices and scrimmages are CLOSED to the public, no events, no announcements of any kinds of giveaways.... OH wait they did do something.... they RAISED ticket prices again http://www.inlouwetrust.com/2013/1/1...or-2013-season
